I have a pc monitor in my garage which i would like to use to play gamecube on, but i cant find a cable to hook the two up together. or even multiple cables to hook the two up together, aslong as it stops me from having to buy a new tv.
Is it not possible to use the monitor just as a tv?
ive been looking over amazon, ebay and lik-sang but i cant seem to find anything.
i heard it was possible with te wii i think.
well anyway thanks for any help :D

youll need a composite/svideo to vga converter. its not just a cable, its a box. and it wont look very good, console graphics are mostly designed for SD TVs, blowing it up onto a 1024x768+ monitor is ugly.

There are custom Gamecube to VGA cables available, such as from http://www.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/gc/vgacable.htm
(I have not ordered from them, so i dont know if they are reputable or not).

Or, you can make your own cable starting with the d-sub cable: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-24-49-en-70-ll.html

EDIT: these will only work on the older gamecubes with the digital out port on back. If yours doesnt have it, all you have to do is call up nintendo and they will exchange your newer one for an older one free of charge. At least in the US they will.

Yer ive got the old one
but i have alot of new games, so i guess it would be stupid only playing the first few games ever made.

not that it helps you directly but i modded a componant cable to give RGB on scart :) mmm loverly the difference is very evident
