I got an ipod touch for xmas and I know there are lots of emus for it, but do they run well? Are they full speed?
Is there a controller available (preferably one that houses the iPod touch and makes it 1 thing), it is supported by most of the emulators? Where can I get one and how much do they cost? without said device, I really couldn't imagine playing any games on it.
I hear I may have to "jailbreak" the touch, but what does that do? Can I still download and run iapps and such?
Thanks

Chris

I personally haven't used an iPod touch for a while, so others can give you their views/experiances on emulators.

The iControlpad is the controller most likely to see the light of day, follow its progress here: http://icontrolpad.com/
Having said that, all the appstore games are very playable with just the touchscreen. Once you get used to it you'll love it.

Jailbreaking keeps all the features you would normally have on an iPod (appstore, etc.), but opens it up for apps/customizations you wouldn't normally be 'allowed'. Emulators are an example of this.
Before I reccomend a jailbreak application, I need to know your iPod version (2nd, 3rd gen etc), and its capacity.

Edit: Forgot to add. A certain knowledgable fellow told me t'other day that emulators need to be payed for. Here is the developer's website so you can have a look around: http://www.zodttd.com/

Should be pointed out that:

A ) It's by the Pandora Team
B ) They apparently prioritise pushing the Pandora out right now

Note my use of the words 'most likely to see the light of day'.

I expect this will come out in half a year or so. Probably more. Craig is not one for speed.
