Is My Wiz Bricked?

So I was trying to upgrade to version 1.10, and I accidentally lifted the right button a little early. I restarted my wiz and held it longer, but it said the upgrade failed and for me to try again. So I reformatted my SD card to fat 32, put the files back on it and tried again. Now, all it does is show the GPH logo, and it sometimes flashes. Did I brick my wiz?

Why did you have to keep hold of the R button? Iirc you don't need to hold it down, just until the upgrade notice appears.
I let go when it said "upgrageing", not when it said "Now upgradeing, this will take about 15 minutes"

it's ok. you should've let it go and let it upgrade. Try redownloading the firmware and uploading onto your SD again, then try flashing it once more.

The same thing happened except the gph logo doesn't flash. Perhaps the download is corrupted or something?

Hi splatbert,

I'm not sure if it helps you, maybe you have seen it already.
But just in case:
http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/50852-how-to-unbrick-your-wiz-retail-wiz-v110-firmware/page__hl__unbrick
However, I didn't (have to) try it.

Good luck!

Thanks, but the question isn't how to fix it, rather if it is broken.

Turns out it was my SD card! On another note, Fedora sucks at handling SD cards
