Does anybody have any suggestions for a good, easily "customizable" cell phone?

I want something that has a decent collection of 3rd party (read: "free") games, and is reliable (and under $150). My service is through Verizon, and they list the following as options in my area:

Kyocera KX414
Motorola C343
Motorola T730
LG VX4400
LG VX6000
Audiovox CDM8600
Samsung SCH-A530

I'm not looking to replace my GP32, but since I need a new cell phone anyway, I might as well get one that is versitile. Every time I run a google search for this info, I just get scam sites that promise free ringtones and porno on your phone. Anybody have any real info or links to quality sites for cell phones?

look what I am getting: the AU a5403ca in from Casio in Japan. Their cell phones trample any American company's.

It has a 2 megapixel camera, a 2.2 inch screen with a 320x240 resolution (same as GP322) gps, miniSD memory card, and a ton of other things!!!! It comes out next month! HAHA!! BEAT THAT!

If you want a versatile, customisable phone with lots of free games your best bet I think is a series 60 phone (made by various, mostly Nokia). However I don't think you will find one under $199.

Zboy - That phone does look kick-ass, but I'm sure it's WAY out of my price range. besides, I remember hearing that they use a different cell phone transmission system in asia and europe, so it peobebly wouldn't work here in the states

I guess I should clarify my problem. Basicly, my choices are limited to:

Kyocera KX414
Motorola C343
Motorola T730
LG VX4400
LG VX6000
Audiovox CDM8600
Samsung SCH-A530
Nokia 3589i

Verizon (like most pain-in-the-ass cell companies) will only hook up THIER phones with their service. I don't think I could get an N-gage, even if I wanted to spend $400.

So what I want to find out is which of the models listed is the most "hackable". What I mean is that I want something that will run free 3rd party software and will accept downloaded ringtones that I don't have to pay verizon for the privlege of installing.

Verizon has gone to some extent to ensure that in order to add ANYTHING to one of their phones, you have to pay them for it. This is crap. I want to find out how to circumvent their pay-to-play system and install freeware games and apps via a PC data cable. I'm sure at least one of the phones they offer is capable of this, I just want to find out which ones, and how.

Considering there are people out there who will hack anything just because it's there, I'm sure there's a website somewhere with the info I need. I just can't find it.

Any ideas?

the phone will probably be about $100-200, not soo bad, and it won't work in the US, but who cares when you don't live in the US?
