A decent E-book reader, along the lines of justreader but not QT dependant.
Supporting open e book standards and HTML and PDB.
How about that? Not contentious at all and I'd really appreciate it!
GP2X VTex seems like a good start, might guide you on the way

Yeah! Just what the Gp2x needs.
I second this whole-heartedly, some way to read books with the open ebook formats, and others, though I doubt you'd get PDB/Microsoft format support, but go for it! ^_^

OpenDocument support would be awesome, but unlikely.

features:

easy on the eyes
maximum screen space for text
smooth or jump scrolling + speed, choice of manual or auto
navigation commands using the buttons
invert (black text on white screen or vice versa), color choices, contrasts/brightnesses
customizable font scaling/sizes/choices (i like Bookman!), line justification/kearning and images
rotate screen 90 degrees
lots of bookmarks (handy for how-tos, references, tech manuals)
optional highlight bar?
optional - make text 'page' larger than screen, and scroll left and right as well as up and down?
multiple docs open at the same time? (switch between them by holding down two buttons, or something)
dictionary/thesarus support? (highlight a word, and it can be looked up in a freeware dictionary or reference)
