Hi everybody,

Here is my first fenix game : it's a slime volleyball port (from java). It has some new features, like "bullet-time" mode :)

Download it here : http://ahuh.free.fr/paraball

Source code is also available for developers.

pretty damn nice game! a bit hard, but then again I didn't play for too long. Only recomendation that I can make would be to make the R button speed you up. I say this because it just seems like the computer moves faster, but then again it could just be because I suck.

great effort, thanks for this

Yeah, and you should be able to move while jumping, just like in Blobby Volley... makes it a lot easie.r

sorry if the game is too hard... in fact, I never won a match in hard level ! try the easy level (the cpu doesn't jump at that level). If you find the game too fast, you can use bullet-time by pressing SELECT. When bullet-time is enabled, the ball and the opponent are twice slower than you.

in fact, I removed movement while jumping near the end of the game development ! The problem is that when you enable this feature, the cpu AI becomes quite stupid... And cpu AI is the only part of the original java game that I could not completely understand and modify... sorry :)
note : in the original slime volleyball, you can't move while jumping (original game)

I think this is really promising, and pretty fun as it is right now! A few things, though:

- you REALLY need to add the option to use R to move faster! It's impossible to play this game when the balls begin to bounce quickly; I could see the ball coming, I knew where I needed to move, but UGH the puck moves so slowly!
- When I jump up to hit the ball, it more often than not goes THROUGH the puck. I realize that this is necessary for when you're close to the net and need to smash the ball, but would it be possible to make it not go through your puck if you hit it near the centre of the puck?

I downloaded it and figured out it doesn't come with the Fenix runtime so I put that in place and made a run script and it runs now. The main menu is all in German, but I figured it out and can run the game. I can control my player side to side and jump, but no ball ever appears. And the game just keeps beeping for no apparent reason. So, how do you play it? Did I configure something wrong?

Thanks,
Brian
