I know this question has been raised or explored numerous times in the past, but I just want to revisit this most interesting question as to why the Chinese haven't dared to make a Pandora (casing, d-pad and all) knock-off yet?

Because it's not a popular enough product yet to be worth making knock-offs.

because they also have a 10k production minimum and the case is not an easy one

Yeah, knock-offs try to grab market from people who can't memorize the names and exact looks of consoles. If nobody's shopping for a Pandora, then the knock-offs wouldn't get any sales by mistake.

Also, knock-offs are by and large sold in real-world situations, not on the internet. The thing is, if someone wanted a pandora case, they'd google 'pandora case', and end up in Craig or ED's shop. (Assuming they don't get bogged down with jewellery cases, etc.)
