If I was the device in the dark, then I'm not sure.

Maybe they would be lit because I would be beaming to be using the device? But what happens when light is back on? Am no longer the device?

Gaming controls are easy to feel without looking at them (thankfully) so for most purposes (games, music, movies) using the Pandora in the dark will not be a problem. Should you really need to use the keyboard in the dark, you could always rely on a cheap low-powered USB light.
