[Ported Game] Duke Nukem 3D - EDuke32

Here is an updated build of eduke32. I have put all the depending libs (but you can try to remove all the X11 ones, maybe it will work).

It seems to works, but it's a mostly vanilla build (only forcing fullscreen), so maybe a few tweaks are missing...

Any glshim fun?

Yep. I compiled with polymer / lastest glshim, and it seems to works well. I haven't tried with HRP yet...

I may have to recompile with the force joystick on maybe...

And may be with Lunitic enabled too?

And a new (untested) compile, with Lunatic compiled in...

So, anyone as tested that version of eduke32? Does it work faster or worse than before, more or less compatible?

Does that version worth a repackaging?

If you like you can be the maintainer. I will grant you the rights on the repo.

I have no time to do anything right now. Sorry :(

Edit: It is worth a repackage for your latest libgl alone imho.

Ohh ok. Too bad you don't have much time :( .

I'll update...

Maybe keep my file structures so that savegames etc. will work out of the box.

Build 6 is on the repo.

It use latest source of eduke (compiled with polymer and Lunatic) and latest version of glshim.

Note that the polymer engine need GL2.0 with shader, so it desabled itself at start.

This build use Lunatic for script. It's based on luajit, so script intensive mod may benefit from this (or not, to be tested).

What never worked in my builds was the polygon models in the hrp.

I cannot test myself right now but maybe they work with your latest glshim?

Should I drop milkshake a pm that he can completely turn over the pnd to you?

I'll try some polygon soon.

About the PND and repo, do as you wich, but I have enough right on the pnd right now, no need to do more :)

Slight update on the repo.

I have just refined a bit the launch script (now it's really tearfree).

I tested with HRP package and it worked. Put the zip files in appdata/duke3d/autoload (the folder will be created if it does not exist).

Also, you will probably need a swap file of the HRP package (mandatory if you have a CC).

Note that, with the zip file in place, the launching of duke is very long, and nothing is shown... Be patient (can take up to minute, so that long when nothing happens on screen).

You can reduce the loadingtimes a bit if you unpack the hrp zip.

Hmmm does this need specific driver versions? :S
If your are using a Gigahertz Pandora, you should at least update to 4.03.00.02 yes. default driver will probably not work well. It should be compatible with 4.10 also.

For other model, default driver should work fine.
