Is the screen realy 1600x904 and What is a ZIGBEE game?

I don't think it's mechanically possible to get that kind of pixel density today, you'd normally get that many pixels in a 19 inch monitor.

It's lies.

I'm so tired of these boring clone machines. Why won't anything innovative come from these factories?

No way on earth the screen is 1600*904. Even 600*900 I wouldn't believe it.

The control look pretty bad... also the psp go / iphone inspired look really doesn't do anything for me.

Got to say I am impressed with all the hardware they manage to cram in there for such a low price !
I mean... FM tuner, tv out, tv in, microphone, camera.

Well TV-In sounds a bit unusual though... not impossible but definitely need to be confirmed.

Overall if the control are crap or it has some pretty bad design flow, it's not going to be a very interesting device IMO... the dingo seems so much more attractive to me.

Ah, looks like a couple of superfluous zeros were added in there. What they meant was 160x94.

From the photos it's clear that they're either using a shitty, blocky, low resolution font, or that their screen resolution claims are somewhat exaggerated.

Although, hey, 1600x904 is a pretty good made-up 16:9 resolution that sits comfortably between 720p and 1080p. And by comfortably, I mean utterly incapable of displaying either resolution favorable.

*facepalm*

Probably the same internals as the Dingoo A320.

My bet is that it has one of the SunPlus PMP-on-a-chip in there.

A 5" 16:9 LCD screen does not exist, try and find one and these cheap PMP would not have a custom made screen I think it is a 4.3"

In case anyone wonders, ZigBee is a low-cost alternative to Bluetooth. Yes, there are no "ZigBee games" in existence.

I like the display, though. I wonder if they can make a 13" version that I can solder into my MacBook Pro so I can run it at 4160*2350.4. And yes, I insist on those 0.4 pixels.

Of course a 19" desktop version would also be appreciated. It's about damn time we can watch movies in 3420p.

Pity, the thing looks like it had some potential.

Unfortunately, it also looks rather fragile, and the buttons look like... Welll... You get the idea. I wish they'd make these running some variant of Linux that would attract programmers, could actually take ports, etc. Then it'd have a chance. Aside from that...
And they really shouldn't rip of the iGUI like that.

I don't believe for a minute that screen has an 1600*904 resolution... that most likely the max res of the camera or the max size of pictures you can show... the listing seams to suggest the screen is a 720 * 576 resolution , I would bet more on an actual 320 * 240 res however

bottom line, simple chinese made stuff

Confirmed: Sony will acquire the MD Game Station. (Rumors that this will be the successor to the PlayStation Portable couldn't be verified at press time.)
