Maybe this should go into the GPCinema thread, but not too important...

What do you guys use to copy DVDs to your hard drive before encoding them for your GP? I tried autoGK but it keeps refusing to copy protected disks (which I suppose is fair enough), so anyone know a workaround? I did use Gordian Knot a few years ago but remember it being nightmarishly complicated.

Ta.

Make sure you actually rip the DVD onto your hard drive first. using DVD Decryptor and then use AutoGK or your fav program instead. Remember to press I in the decryptor and select the chapters, audio tracks, subtitles, etc and then simply start rippin.

Thanks guys!

Got that sorted now, so tomorrow morning when I'm on the commuter train to London alongside a load of suits checking their emails and playing with excel I'll be watching Duckula on my GP, giggling like a loon!

...commuting really gets me down, so these early morning cartoons are practically medicinal. You've saved what little remains of my mind!

Thanks especially to Rayek - that wiki page is excellent!
