I've been playing "Mario Adventure" and its bloody amazing. It uses the Mario 3 engine but is an entirely new game!!

Cool, but I prefer the SNES All-Stars version of SMB3, much better graphics, and the same great gameplay

I prefer the original... first game I owned... got it on my 5th xmas.. great day.. i could just do the first world ^_^

Heh, I was just playing Mario3 at my friends house the other day. Only one thing, we were playing on dreamcast, and we set it to run 1.5x normal speed. It was quite a trip watching mario go so fast, very hard getting used to, then once you are used to it going back to slow seems like you reduced mario to a crawl. I suggest some of you try increasing the speed of your older games, when it gets boring it definately adds to the excitement for awhile.

I did the same with music. I went through a phase of listening to hip-hop up to 2x its original speed, and it's just plain weird, but somehow addictive.
