My sister went to her appointment with the oncologist. She says being under 40 really helps her prognosis, but grade 2 astrocytoma is still bad stuff. She did say it being in her temporal lobe also helped her prognosis. She's being given two options, to do radiation to try to ensure it doesn't come back too soon or to just observe. I know radiation's tough, and she's already seen what it did to our mom. If it were me, I probably would just observe, but if it were me, I wouldn't even have been able to go through with the brain surgery. I've been holding onto a loaded gallbladder for over three years now.

When I walked to the grocery store today, I had to walk across that five lane road again once, because the construction blocking my way to the intersection is still going on. It sucks too, because I have my weekly spending money now and want to go to a convenience store right across from that grocery store to spend it on PlayStation credit, but I would have to walk across that five lane road twice or take the long way around, which would take me in front of a school.

Also, about my sister’s upcoming radiation decision, apparently she’s supposed to see a radiation specialist first and then decide. She hasn’t been called to set up the appointment yet.

Well, some children don't bite (if you just walk by a few meters away). I know there're a lot of school shootings in the USA, but do you think it's so risky to just walk by one ?

Meh, I used to walk by that school all the time, when I had to take a check to the bank to get my weekly cash, but we don’t do it that way anymore, and that was before schools became hyper alert about security.

I think I got three hours of sleep. Should be enough for the day, especially since I just had a fresh cup of coffee.

I’ve got this problem, it’s not a fear of gaming, but I definitely procrastinate on games. Meh, I’ve talked about this before. I’m just looking for a solution, if anyone has any.

An update on my sister: she sees the radiation specialist on Tuesday, and this is the first of her appointments in her hometown, instead of riding all the way to Charlotte.

@FBnil hasn’t been on the forums since the 1st. This is relevant because I usually keep a PM conversation going with him, and it’s gotten a bit one-sided lately. I hope he isn’t sick or anything.

I fell asleep for a good chunk of the morning despite having coffee. It’s probably for the best though. I was upset about something this morning, but I think I got over it.

Today I discovered that there’s a popular subreddit for gamers who don’t play any games until at least a year after release. Man, backlog syndrome isn’t just my problem, it’s mankind’s problem. Hopefully there’s an afterlife, because the only other solution I can think of is time dilation, and even if we achieved that, there are ethical concerns with it. There’s an episode of the nineties’ Outer Limits where a guy invents a virtual prison where inmates can serve out multi-year sentences in a few real world minutes, then he gets stuck in it for a bunch of virtual years while bug testing it, and he comes out against the whole thing.

Seriously though, my inability to play anything right now is freaking me out. I guess what I should really do is finish Röki before starting anything else, but I’m just paralyzed at the thought of it for some reason. It’s not even a bad game. I was able to force myself to finish Carto, and that was kind of a bad game. I can’t figure this out.

I was jonesing for my Klonopin extra early this evening. Fortunately I got it at about the usual time, then slept for over three hours. I wanna say I’m good now, but it’s only a relative good. What’s good for me would be pretty bad for most of you.

I was eating store brand wheat thins this morning, and one of my teeth started hurting. I’m hoping I can avoid it happening again just by avoiding the wheat thins. I don’t want to visit a dentist with XBB.1.5 on the rise.

I kinda want my chest imaged again, but I'm not sure it's changed enough to warrant any new imaging. My problem is that I'm upset that they never did an ultrasound. There was this male breast cancer story I read where a guy's tumor was growing inward instead of outward, and the mammogram turned up nothing, but they did an ultrasound anyway, and found a bunch of stuff. I think I might have the same deal.

I'm terrified of any possible treatment for male breast cancer anyway, maybe I should just let it go.

I'm alive, just reading manga... and there is so much of it... (and also lots of things to do at work and at the home and with my fam)
Bought the whole Deathnote series for my daugher. ex-wife was not all too happy, but hey, it's fun to talk with my daughter about morals and where you draw lines. Quite an interesting talk.

You can be subtle and just give an apple.
