The Millennium Dome!!!

When this list gets changed, will that mean that they will need to make a new Civilization game?

I'll also vote for 'Petra ancient city', because it was in Indiana Jones.

I voted Great Wall, because I think I heard that over 1 million people died building all of its sections and features. That's staggering! It seems like whenever something bad happens to the people of china, people neglect the amount of people that die there. Over 20 million chinese died during one famine, yet at school they only talk about the holocaust where only 6 million jews died(total people in the war was just over 20 million, I don't quite remember). That means that in that famine, about as many people died as in WWII...Sorry for changing the subject, please don't respond anybody, just post your votes.

only 6 million.
I meant when compared to the deaths in that famine, it's only 6 million.

Seriously though, there haven't really been any new wonders for a long time. There is some amazing architecture, but people's standards of architecture is a lot higher now. I don't think wonders can be buildings of any sort... ;)

I voted for the Colloseum. Romans rocked ... if only they learned about the dangers of lead. We'd be colonized on Mars by now :(

I voted for it too.

It could seat 50,000 spectators and the arena could also be flooded to stage mock naval battles.

EIGHT MONTH SEMI-EPIC BUMP!

New wonders have been chosen! They are as follows:

1. Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
2. Petra, Jordan
3. Chichen Itza, Mexico
4. Machu Picchu, Peru
5. Taj Mahal, India
6. Great Wall of China
7. The Colosseum, Italy

Personally, I gave a nice big "WTF???" at Christ the Redeemer. Not worthy IMO. I also don't think the Taj mahal is worthy. Meh.

Oh, and apparently:

"The pyramids of Giza, the only surviving structures from the original seven wonders of the ancient world, were assured of retaining their status in addition to the new seven after indignant Egyptian officials said it was a disgrace they had to compete."

So....we have 8 wonders? .....mkay.............
