Does anyone know, usb 2.0 host will be available in future gp2x versions?

No, it will not be available.

USB2.0 (I presume you mean high speed, 480MB/s) is a huge increase in complexity for the host circuitry, and also for the CPU running the host. It's not available on any small, low-power CPUs and certainly won't be offered as an "upgrade" to the CPU in the GP2X.

Why do you ask?

The MMSP2 is nowhere near advanced enough to support doing anything useful with that sort of speed, and probably not capable of pushing that much data down the bus either. Higher than USB 1.x on portable devices doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now.

I ask because there are many cool things with usb 2.0, which would be even more cool plugged to gp2x. :)
