Eisner's original pics from the beginning of the thread all seem to be down. http://www.pinwest.net/pandora/

Continuing the trend.

While one of (naw)mcx's renders will certainly be on my Pandora, this render by dflemstr is definitely one of my favorites and is my desktop wallpaper on my PC. The lighting source behind the cube produced some artifacts that were a little annoying though, I touched them up: http://imgur.com/nPM3j.jpg - I hope you don't mind dflemstr

@darien: have you thought about making a PMenu skin? one based on your app store mockup would be pretty awesome

Is there a template I can start from? Could I just open Photoshop and do it? I went to the thread and was confused by the zipped up stuff on the first page.

I'm not quite sure if this has been done already, but could someone make a Pandora sized image of "The Great Wave off Kanagawa"? It's a nice piece of art.

OK, so you removed the traces of the light source (I approve of that, I should have done that myself) and some other stuff.
I have two complaints though:
- Why did you remove the glass structure's kernel cap? It was intentionally placed there!
- Why did you compress the image with such a horrible JPEG compression?

But, whatever, the picture probably looks good this way anyways so carry on with what you're doing :p

Well, that's like saying that you're using LyX instead of TeX or LaTeX... aka, you really aren't.

Anyways, I've never gotten into flam3 rendering; is there some kind of tutorial that you could recommend?

I like the first one the most :)
You can imagine so many faces and creatures in the structures, it's great. How silly that I don't smoke any more, would have been a nice experience

I'm on your trail right now... rendering something ;)
Stay tuned.
Great work all of you, they're soooo beautiful!

Not really, there are tutorials that can help you with the settings but it's very, very hard to create something that you have in mind. Everything is (almost) random.. Just play with mutations and variations ;)

Please don't spamm this with every single render you make :X
Select only the ones that are worthy :p

Ah, I swear I save it as a 2mb PNG, Imgur must have converted it. And the cap looked a bit out of place, as you can't see one on the other side

This one made me laugh, it's under the creative commons license.

Its a splash screen but if you didn't want to use it for that just add a little to each side and resize it.
