Windows 8 On Arm

An ARM-compatible, more full-featured version of Windows will almost certainly run on Intel, but the point is that Intel would be just another player among a bevy of ARM chip heavyweights, such as Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Apple, and Samsung Electronics.

So there would be an ARM and an X86 version of Windows 8? OK, but the ARM version still wouldn't be able to run X86 binaries so what is the point? Windows is o popular because of the huge amount of software written for it and its backwards compatibility, none of which an ARM version would offer. It would just be another mobile OS.

I think one of the thoughts is that Microsoft has the resources to invest in good x86 and ARM emulators tied directly into the OS. Kind of like QEMU in user space mode for Linux, except targeting Windows.
Not to mention pretty much everything .NET would automatically be portable.

This means even more arm devices are to come I guess, which is a good thing. More OS choices for arm is awesome!
