Future Drmd Release?

Reesy, if you donate do you get the new betas as they come out, or do you only get the most recent beta when you donated. Once I can pursuade my parents to let me use their paypal account I'll donate.

I usually forward the latest beta as people donate and then add their names to the beta distribution list.

All in the latest beta,

Correct timing for Pal games ( fixes Lemmings )
Corrected timer problems in fm emulator
Add quick save/load functions.. but these are still called from the menu, I might add them to a key combination as well L+Start could be quick load and R+Start could be quick save. I'll see what the beta testers think.

How do you like to recieve feedback from your beta testers? email, forum, or compatibility list? It's just that I've emailed you plenty of times with ideas feedback and bugs but never know whether you read it or if any of it's any use to you?

He reads all of them. I sent him e-mails and some times he replies sometimes he just fixes it, sometimes it goes unfixed probably because he isn't at that stage yet. Like if you point out a cyclone bug that he knows about but can't fix etc. Remember he has alot of e-mails to go through as well as debugging code. It is alot of work so just be patient. I would think bug reports through e-mails would be fine as that is how I do it and had good results.

Forums work too. I remember I had asked why the water level in Sonic flickers and he replied that there is nothing that can be done because of the way it renders the screenas it switched the palette. I suggested that the emu should then just update the palette once per frame, rather than once per scanline. Nothing was said, maybe my suggestion helped , maybe he thought if it himself, don't know but it was fixed on the next beta. So I think that he definetly reads it all. just give him your ideas and let him take it from there.

Sorry, Frolik. I did read your emails but my memory's really crap and if I don't respond to emails then and there, I usually forget about them. But to answer your questions, I'll see if I can find a cpu setting for 150Mhz and I'll take a look at the Zombies ate my Neighbors bug you reported after I've added SRAM support and RF support.

RF support! That's great, the one emulator I always wanted to try it with :D I've really got to invest in one now!

I may as well post a bug for Beta 5.

Both Aladdin and Cannon Fodder both seem to have audio problems. Aladdin is fine in the main menu, but during the SEGA logo and the actual game the music is extremely slow. Cannon Fodder is similar to Aladdin, only its slow the whole time.

Gain Ground resets every time you start a new game. It's odd, I remember this happening on a PC based emulator years ago.

Golden Axe runs better than the goddamn Zodiac version. Good work on that. Worms also runs great, and every Sonic game runs with only small problems (the water raster effect).

Awesome emulator Reesy. And just this day I found my missing 128MB card (I've been using my 64MB one for about 2 months). Super happy day for me.

Can I just ask how a few games work in DrMD (beta or public) up to 166?
The games are:

Thunder Force IV
Gargoyles
Ranger-X
Devilish
Bio Hazard Battle
Comix Zone
and the Yuu Yuu Hakusho Fighting game

ThanX, BYEEEEE!!

Thunder Force IV - Does not work
Gargoyles - Does not work
Ranger-X - runs fine at 144
Devilish - runs fine at 144
Bio Hazard Battle - Does not work
Comix Zone - Works but sound not right
and the Yuu Yuu Hakusho Fighting game - Works fine at 144

ThanX Reesy, expect a donation within the next few days.

Any idea what's causing Bio Hazard Battle to not work?

Reesy's great about listening to suggestions. Over the last 6 versions of the emu we have seen most of the suggestions/requests that have come from this board get implemented in grand style... he's definately listening :D All the more reason to donate... this has been one of the most interactive projects I've seen develop... ever! How many dozens of people chatting here, and any one of them could make some suggestion for something to throw into DrMD and have a very good chance of it getting in there... when does that kind of thing ever happen??

Nope sorry but none of the cyclone bugs I've fixed so far have fixed sensible soccer :( I'll have to keep on searching.

I'd still like to know if you mind if I give the beta to the other 2 GP32 owners in my house once I donate?

I know it's purely a moral question, and not a technical one, but I'd like to know.

BYEEEEE!!

PS: I get my GP32 on monday, so finally I can try this damn thing out.

*dreams of playing megadrive on the toilet*

There are actually many games that suffer from that weird music bug. Aero the Acrobat 2, Vectorman 1 and 2, Earthworm Jim, also have this weird bug where it just plays a note every once in awhile. It is really a wierd bug, it is not cyclone as it does it with mushashi core too.
