I'm interested in getting a new gamepad for my pc. I currently own a Saitek P150 (POS)
which has a really shitty D-Pad, six face buttons, and two shoulders and and am in desperate desire of a new one (it wouldn't be so bad but its almost impossible to hit diagonals during THPS sessions). Just making this post to see what you guys(and girl(s)) recommend. I'd primarily be using it for THPS 2+3+4 and N64 Emulation. I'd also like it to have at least 4 face buttons, 2 ANALOG sticks, and at least 2 shoulder buttons. Oh and USB. My favorite gamepad to use comfortably is the GCN Pad if that helps you guys give me any suggestions.

P.S. Are there any GCN USB Adapters as I already have a couple extra of those controllers ;)

I agree. Console converters are proper good.

I use an XBOX one personally but all three are great pads and most people generally have a couple spare.

Just to add to the mix I use a Gamecube convertor one.

It's great, but it doesn't allow you to use the C Stick in most things sadly, meaning that N64 games become awkward.

If you have the Super Joybox converter, there is a patch available here which fixes the C-stick and the L and R buttons for most things. I use mine for Project64 and the C-stick works fine for C buttons. I also used my gamecube controller to play through Psychonauts and the C stick worked perfectly for camera control.

Other than the adaptor option, the Satek P880 is a dual analogue pad, and I got one for less than a fiver off ebay. I also got the P150 off the same guy for cheaper, and yeah... it's shit.

Boom! Usb <> Ps1/2 & N64 joypad converter with a ps2 dualshock pad.

Most pc joysticks/pads i have tried have been crap, Except the original (15 pin) Gravis gamepad pro, Which was the dogs danglies.

I also have a Saitek P880. I think its pretty decent, almost as good as a PSX pad...
But what i really love is the programming ability: You can map very long key seqences/combinations to one single key! I´m using it also in Warcraft III and other onlinegames to communicate with my allies; i´ve mapped must standard chat messsages to a key on it so i hardly need to type anymore in those games, so i can concentrate on the game :)

I have a saitek P2500, I think it's pretty good, works well when you use the programmer correctly, has a lot of buttons and the rumble is a bonus (which I havn't managed to use yet).

I use a ps1 ripoff PC controller called Gravis Gamepad Pro.

I've seen PSX controllers at the dollar store before, they're good for a cheap PC controller or spare parts or something, due to the price.

I have a USB cable to hook up my Xbox controller. For use on a PC I've found nothing else comes close.

I also plan on getting a EMS USB2 from linksand soon so I can investigate setting up my NegCon for use on PC. And dance mat too.
