"First week of September m8y, paied my fees today & takes week to go back on
which means it will be first week of September, when you get your system
PLEASE rmember to leave my feedback, I will do the same, this ok????"

It's legit, he wouldn't be desperate for feedback if he was ripping me off right? All is cool now.

If I cancel the cheque he wants me to pay £30 as apparently it ruins his credit rating and he gets charged that much by the bank (apparently).
He also says that I will not be able to pay by cheque a second time, if he does this, and that the system was sold at this price, due to a one-off, and that it will not be the same price next time.

are you guys both mad! you have the chance of getting out of losing a lot of money and you are both dithering.. you have hear back from other people who have paid and recieved nothing. The guy has no next to no feed back selling goods which if they were genuine he would be selling at a major loss. Surely alarm bells must be going off..

He also sounds very unreliable and unprofessional.. and his terms and conditions are a joke. even if it you got the goods i hardly think his aftrer sales service is going to be any good should something go wrong!

the deal is too good to be true the reason is simply that it is too good to be true.. get out while you can and buy a lower spec from dell or something. Where you will get what you ordered and after sales service...

Personally i wouldn't buy a full pc of ebay you just don't know what your getting and if anything goes wrong its going to be a real pain getting it sorted, it could be put together by a total cowboy you may save a few quid but in the longterm it could be false economy.. you may get lucky but i would say most of the tme you won't, gurantuee wise its a lottery.

These guys knew the risks when they bought a full PC from ebay off a guy with 8 feedback. He shows all the classic signs of a non-deliverer, and that £30 thing is a joke.

Through all this one question remains unanswered - why didn't he send you the goods as soon as payment was recieved? Not being a registered eBay member at the time means jack shit, he can still honour the auction contract. Seems like stalling tactics to me.

Yeah I think that he has been stalling things. I plan to cancel the cheque as soon as I can.

The thing is I can't actually cancel my cheque before it clears because of the bank holiday. The reason he didn't send the goods when payment was received is that, for one, neither of our cheques have cleared and secondly, it says in his auction it takes on average 3-7 days after payment clears for delivery to be made with the maximum time being 14 days. He builds them to order.

So, on tuesday, when my cheque clears, he says he'll have it picked up by parcelforce and I'll get my tracking number. I'll keep you informed of what's happening.

Anyone can set up a website it doesn't take much effort. You can get templates off the net if you want to save time. There's not even much info on the site he's just added a few details here and there.

That £30 thing and telling you this was a one time offer just sounds like a plot to stop you cancelling the check.

Personally I'd be running for the hills right about now.

I don't think you should cancel, because this is interesting.

Yes, I like this mans thinking.

Edit: Ok, here are some reasons why I think he is genuine:

1. He has mentioned several times and even e-mailed me specifically on the issue of giving him feedback. Every time he has mentioned it, he has said leave it after the system arrives.

2. If he was taking peoples money and not sending them PCs, why would he specifically make a point of saying "THERE IS NO MONITOR WITH THIS MACHINE" in his auction? He would get more money if he included a monitor with the system at not extra cost to him and why would he be worried about people complaining there is no monitor when they are not getting anything at all?

3. Some other third reason.

4. He gave me his mobile phone number when I asked, I messaged him on it and told him to tell me what was in the message to ensure it's his number.

5. I really want this awesome computer, I'd much rather getting it for £475 than nothing for £475.

WTF???!!!!!!

You guys are completely stupid, and if you carry on with this you are just making it worse for the rest of us, in as much as two more suckers for the vultures to prey on!

I really hope you get it. But I doubt it! BTW the bank holiday thing has no bearing on anything, cos a bank holiday isn't a working day, just extends the clearing time.

If something is too good to be true, it is! Ebay is a nest of thiefs. I should know, cos I'm one of them (joke). But seriously at the mo, someone has stolen my ID, my password, changed my email address, and is currently selling Motor bikes for several thousands of pounds. And they were being bid on, probably by wetbehindtheears like you!!!!

Just give him your Dad's credit card details and let him get on with mugging you completely. Then you'll learn.

*Swigs his whisky, and staggers off to have a piss outta the window*

You're just jumping in with the obvious answer without thinking about it carefully enough.

Sure, this deal sounds too good to be true but take a look at his website, the computer he has on sale there is actually about right for the price. Ok, so why is he selling awesome computers for cheap on ebay? He wants to set up a shop online, he needs credibility, by selling stuff on ebay he gets feedback. He can say, look at my ebay rating, it's 100%. He has reminded me several times to give him feedback after I receive my system. That backs up this idea. Seriously people, he allows the collection of the computers.

If I get screwed over, feel free to take the piss every time you see a post of mine but a lot of this negativity seems to be coming from impatience on our part. Considering we're still well within the 14 days after payment clears. In fact, we haven't even entered those 14 days yet.

Edit: The most important line from this post is "If I get screwed over, feel free to take the piss every time you see a post of mine". I'm serious, I want to get scathing insults and hilarious piss takings.

That's fine, it's your (or your Dad's) money. And if you DO get ripped off, I promise you I won't rip into you for it. I'll feel sorry and bloody angry for you.

But you've answered your own question, feedback. He hasn't got as good feedback as his figures suggest! And how many pcs do you buy!!!

I promise you, if you are setting up a business, and is looking to get good will behind him, he is doing everything wrong. None of us will deal with him, cos he's acted like an unproffessional berk so far, from all that I've read.

And of course he wants to keep you sweet, he doesn't want you to cancel your cheque! Why does he keep you waiting? Why is he asking for £30? Why does anyone think having a mobile number gives security (I have about a dozen sim cards knocking around!), why does he say he might keep you waiting so long AFTER the cheque has cleared (so everyone elses cheques can clear before he buggers off?), are his addresses bonafide? Have you contacted ebay about your situation, and if he really is struck off because of non payment of fees???

It's just dodgy. And Because I work hard for my money, I am very careful who gets it from me. If you are a teenager, maybe you see it different.

Don't get me wrong, I dn't wanna argue about it, cos it's your money and your deal. But I hate bad ebay traders. And I hate people that when they make financial dealings, don't make sure it's absolutely clean. But I really hope you all get your pcs.

Keep us posted.

(PS. Come on England..... 9 wickets down now....)

No! You should rip into me about it!

The 3-7 days average are for him building the computer. The terms and conditions are written for him website so I can only assume the 14 days are in case he gets a lot of orders at once whenever his site is up and running. He actually has mine built already for dispatching the day my cheque clears (or so he says).

He hasn't done anything wrong of me anyway. I'd assume that in order to get that phone number he has to give the phone company details and if I have to get the police involved then they should have access to those details. I will get the police involved if I have to. They may do fuck all but at least I'll have something to worry him into getting me my money back.

Just looked at his website. I work sometime for Bignosepoetry.com and I know that worldpay (like paypal only better!) won't let you start a site that takes money via their credit service WITHOUT posting a proper address and landline. It's a condition of service.

I bought a new digicam this summer, and ended up paying about £30odd quid more because I only buy from a site that has these two things. And I buy a LOT off the internet. Too much from ebay too. But I reckon because I always take such care, I am making it harder for the bastard scammers to prosper, thus doing my bit for world peace etc.

If we all did, the world would be a better place!

BTW. Are you sure that ebay takes weeks to relist a seller? Really really sure, cos I would doubt it myself....

Ive been suspended three times for not paying my fees. You re-instated with the minuite usually, its an automated process. This sounds like a scam from here?

Can anybody else not get onto: http://www.phpbbforfree.com/forums/?mforum=cccomputing

I get a mySQL error.

Here is his latest email:
Hi m8, don’t get my wrong I really do understand what your saying but at the same time try to see things from my eyes, im trying to make a living selling PC’S, im trying really hard to make sure my service is superb, im trying to reassure you the best I can so you can feel reassured that this transaction will go totally smooth not just for you but for me to, when I sell systems I try to make sure the system is perfect, my service is perfect & then the buyer will hopefully recommend their friends & family to me, this is how I sell most systems by word of mouth & that’s important to me, you see if your happy with your system you bought from me your m8’s will think wow! & they would ask you how they can get one then hopefully I would have more business coming my way from you, to me this isn’t just about making money at all its also about respect & people knowing my systems are good, I don’t want anyone saying negative things about me, I have been selling pc’s for 3 years now & have built a solid customer base & have a very good line of suppliers & is how I can get the parts at superb prices, I am a certified Microsoft seller, im also a certified OEM software seller, I would not be a certified seller if I couldn’t supply good systems that’s for sure as once a year Microsoft & the OEM Trade departments review my systems & services & if they are not good enough my certified status gets taken away from me which means I could not sell systems at these prices again,

I know how important this is to you, when I was 17 i saved money from my 1st job to save for my first PC, took me months as well & my pc back then was EVERYTHING to me, don’t get me wrong pc’s are I suppose my life at the moment, I have 2 at home, my partner has a laptop, we have WI-FI etc & I couldn’t imagine life without a PC or the internet as once you are used to something you couldn’t go back!, & no im not a geek!!!, lol, but seriously I would never ever ever rip ANYONE off as I certainly would not like it to happen to me, that’s why I have tried hard to reassure you best I can to put your mind at rest,

So getting back to this current situation for a moment, So the earliest you will cancel the cheque if your not happy is Tuesday when the banks reopen?, so if I provide a copy of my passport showing my picture, name etc on it, I also provide photos of the systems I have here at the moment as well as parts etc, I will also send you a few other parts, I can send you a screenshot of my recent orders on my ebuyer account which shows the recent orders I have ordered from them, I can also send you a few other receipts & paperwork including shipping labels from parcelforce, will you be happy with all these things emailed to you as I would rather know now if im wasting my time or if this really will make a difference as from my eyes all this stuff im going to send you proves absolutely EVERYTHING regarding me building systems, providing systems to people & providing a good service, let me know on this,

I will also try & find the topics on the ebay forums regarding that ebay member (sic. onemillurray), but to be honest with ALL this information im going to email you I think I have certainly proved my self to you for sure!, as you can see here im really really trying to put your mind at ease the best I can,

Lastly, I can also email you a letter stating in full that the day your cheque clears you MAY either collect from me OR I will send the system on the same day as the cheque clearing, this would be fully stated in the letter which means I cannot go back on my word as I would be braking a contract which could land me in trouble, the letter would also state that if the system was not sent or collected on the day the cheque cleared as agreed then I would refund you on the SAME day as the cheque clearing to ensure you had your money back if you wasn;t happy, or for example once the cheque cleared & you wasn;t happy then you may email me & ask for a refund & I would refund you straight away for you, The system also comes with a FULL 1 years warranty so if any problems occurred they would be put right or your system would be replaced, also if the system went wrong 3 times in a year within the warranty time you would be refunded in full as this is the current law for electrical items, I will also provide a FULL receipt of this transaction,

Email back as soon as you can, thank you
Hmmm. You see he is quite helpful. But to me he always appears to skirt around the questions and gives proof that I cannot check.
Yes, call him about that registering thing, as that is what I had thought....

Does anyone have an account with 192.com on here, as that would be a way of getting his phone number - as I have already said that I was unsure about only having his mobile number in email.

Edit: btw I am not a fool, I will have no choice but to cancel my cheque come tuesday unless I have proof that he is okay, and not a liar.
