Oops, just posted this in the wrong forum, this is the place it was intended for...

My question is, will a charger that came with some Engergizer 1700 batterys, also charge up batterys of a higher or lower voltage? The 1700's seem to work ok for most things, but I get a very slight pause when playing movie files every couple of seconds. I tried it with some Sainsburys extralong life batterys (not re-chargeable) and the movies play fine.

Just would be cheaper if i could buy some 2500 batterys withought having to buy a new charger.

Thanks in advance

it realy depends on the charger, many shipped chargers are hard-timed for a specific capacity, others are just normal chargers with some other kind of accu full detection wich works for "any" kind of capacity.
Anyway, if you want good batetry life you need a high quality charger that realy charges your batterys up to the last bit.

you moved it right when I was posting.....

I have an energizer charger that came with my 2500s. In this little paper it gives the approximate times it would take to charge anything from 800 mAh AAAs to 2500 mAh AAs. I'm going to assume that means my charger can, but you'd have to check your charger.
