Actually, the vast majority of eggs sold for consumption are unfertilised.

I remember as a child getting the occasional fertilised egg in meals. - it was easy enough to remove the little red blob from fried eggs. It was more of an issue in boiled.

suspect the most popular form of child to eat is lamb, as suckling pig and veal have gone out of fashion. Regions that use goat milk probably eat a lot of kid, too, as you need to get rid of the excess of male progeny. We don't eat the excess of male day-old chicks, but they are used for animal feed. You don't want to know more.

Well, obviously it's a sign to an offical artwork depicting the State of Florida: here's a couple of examples, neither of which are official AFAIK.
