Hi there, I've looked through the FAQ's and the wiki etc... but I couldn't see anything about this.

Will the Pandora have a slider/wheel/anything to control the brightness of the screen (in order to conserve power)?

Or will there be a function in the OS itself?

Thanks in advance!

I think it's a given that there'll be controls on the OS. There may be a keycombo though.

Worse-case scenario, you have to edit a file to tell the system what brightness you want until someone posts a (edit: GUI) solution.

It would be more like just entering a command :
#echo 15 > /proc/pandora/screen/brightness
or something like that.
(or create a few scripts : eg. bright-low, bright-mid, bright-high that can do this for you)
The good news : Angstrom(GPE) has a standard gui to control brightness !!

Have fun,
Chero
