Airplyr is an airhockey game I initially made for the GP32 in Fenix. Now I am redoing it for the GP2X in C with improved performance, enhanced gameplay and controls, better AI, and much smoother graphics.

This version of Airplyr was done back in September 2005 as a way to familiarize myself with Fenix and with game structure in general. I planned to finish and release it back then, but my harddrive crashed and the source code was lost.

Now, while working on the C/SDL version of the game, I remembered I still had this old Fenix bytecode somewhere. I quickly grabbed the Fenix runtime from the GP2X archive, and surprisingly enough it worked out of the box (Thank you Puck2099 for your great runtime).

The game is crude and unpolished, but playable nonetheless. Notable features include a not-so-bad AI and decent gameplay.

Controls
[START] - Exit
[SELECT] - Pause/Resume
[JOYPAD] - Move paddle around
[A] - Reset players and puck positions
- Gives the puck a boost in case it's stuck or something.

Also, just in case anyone cares, here's an early screenshot of the C version of Airplyr to be released in a couple of months:
