Hello BAFelton, I have a few questions:

1. Is the touch screen as bad as it looks on your videos? (talking about touch capabilities because on your videos I saw that you struggle just to unlock the device)

2. How is the battery life?

3. Is the nub analog or digital?

4. What is the WIFI quality (signal strength etc.)?

5. Oh and I saw that the speakers are in the back, doesn't your hands cover them?

Alright, this board needs a dedicated yinlips Ydp-G18 forum all its own.
Not hidden down here in the other consoles section.

Just gonna repeat this here....

Can anyone test out Conker's Bad Fur Day and WWF No Mercy on the n64 emulator for this device? If those games run full speed then I'm getting this thing for sure...

I would like to know how well Perfect Dark or Goldeneye runs ..

still for $125 is pretty competitive with the Caanoo and Pandora.
The specs (1.2 GHz A9/ Mali-400 @ 400 MHz) are impressive.
But I don't understand how they forgot to add analog inputs...

My ydp-G18 is still in the mail so I can't be 100% sure. but going from Qbertaddict's teardown pics, the YDP-G18 does have an analog controller

public static final int SOURCE_CLASS_JOYSTICK

Since: API Level 12
The input source is a joystick. A MotionEvent should be interpreted as absolute joystick movements. Use getMotionRange(int) to query the range of positions.
Constant Value: 16 (0x00000010)
public static final int SOURCE_CLASS
See that API Level 12, that is Android 3.1.x.
There is no way for a pre Honeycomb Android app to read the joystick's position.

From http://dingoo-scene.blogspot.com/2011/12/why-bother-rooting-ydpg18.html

Q: Do I have to install .emu emulators from the microSD-card ?

.emu emulators are available in Android Market only except for Snes9x EX. You have to buy them.
You can get newest Yongh's emulators free on slideme.org (except for n64oid)

Q: What is the newest version of N64oid?

A: 2.6.2. Latest version will always be here: http://slideme.org/application/n64oid

Q: How do I install Android market?

A: http://dingoo-scene.blogspot.com/2011/12/how-to-install-android-market-on.html

Q: Can I download any .apk and install it via the appinstaller ?

A: 1. place and .apk file/files on sd card

2. go to Settings->Applications and check Unknown Sources- this will allow you to install from other sources than Market
3. using any file browser just click on .apk file and installation will start
