I've successfully recompiled BlastRiot! for the WIZ. You can download it off the archive here:
http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/wiz.cgi?0,0,0,0,30,117

Or off the BlastRiot website at:
http://www.blastriot.com/

Blast Riot! is a fast paced retro shoot-em-up. Two Parts Crossroads, One part Llamatron. Don't let the screenshot fool you, it's more fun than it looks! 20 maps, 16 distinct creatures, licensed sound and music, totally frenetic game play. A map editor is included as well.

Unzip the file to the "/game" directory on your SD card. Afterward you should be able to access it from the WIZ Games icon.

Nice game. Top-notch soundeffects and music. But in my opinion the screen of the Wiz is a little bit small for it. Is there a GP2x version available?

Regards,
Stephan

Blastriot is a great game! I don't have a Wiz (yet) but anyone that does should check it out. I still play the GP2X version every month or so.

Thanks for the compliments!

It is a bit small on the Wiz screen. It was already pretty small to start with on the GP2x screen, shrinking down to a smaller size certainly didn't help anything out. The controls are a bit nicer though.

If I can ever get the OpenGL stuff working on the Wiz, I'm hoping to eventually release a sequel that should resolve the size issues. I really want OpenGL in order to rotate creatures, scroll a bigger map around, etc.

Nice. :) That sounds really good.

Nice one satacoy, I love playing this on the GP2X, it's a very polished game. I think it would work particularly well via TV-out, if it were available.

Looking forward to your arena shooter by the way. :)
