Hey guys,

Well I've finally decided to plunk down money for this crazy peice of machinery, but being the anal person that I am, I'm a little worried about my credit card number. I vaugely remember people mentioning how to make your transfer secure, but I just can't seem to recall anything right now...

So I was thinking of asking this wonderful community to help me out. I know someone out there who's ordered this thing was as anal as I was so I'm asking you what did you do? I have a visa and a mastercard, and the second I get a reply I'm going to order this and basically live happily ever after...

or something like that
thanks in advance guys

I'm fairly certain you're protected from fraud on orders over £100, but if you're really that worried I'm sure you can arrange to send them a cheque? That way you don't have to worry about someone cracking the 128bit encryption key and getting your credit card number, it may take a little longer but perhaps you'll prefer the peice of mind.

If you're ordering from Craig at gbax.com - he uses Worldpay (I think), which is a well respected, secure way of paying. Its actually safer using a card this way than giving it to someone in a resteraunt or shop.

You have better protection when using a card too (fraud etc).

Get that order off and get your GP32 in your hands asap!

Well we use Worldpay's secure servers to take our orders, one of the most secure and respected (not to mention expensive!) online credit card processing companies, its infact part of the royal bank of scotland/natwest.

Just my two cents worth ... I've been using the internet since 1994. I've bought probably hundreds of items from the net. Not just from eBay, but lots and lots of online businesses as well. I've never had a single problem with my credit card. Never been ripped off once, never had my card stolen, never had a bad charge ... nothing. I hear the same horror stories as everyone else, but from a guy who's been doing not only his Christmas shopping online every year for the past 9 years, but much of my other shopping as well, I can say that online shopping (at least for me) has been 100% safe.

Thanks for all the fast replies guys

I actually just ended up talking to my friend who always buys on the internet and he basically convinced me that I was just being a tiny bit crazy. So I ordered one from play-asia (he said they have good service, I sure hope so)

Hopefully I'll have it in my hands soon, can't wait to watch movies on it!!

Oh God, not Play-Asia. They've stolen everyone's credit cards and ran up huge porn charges on them!!

Just kidding. Most "businesses" on the internet are 100% trustable. Play-asia has a good track record, and you will find your gp32 well worth the price!
