Steps I've done:


- disable the internal wifi

- insert the dongle


- dmesg


I confirm that the device is detected.


The wireless icon in the toolbar shows me as disconnected. I cannot ping anything.


What should I do next?

I am having the same issue. my dongle worked fine on my first pandora but does not show up on the new silver model. I am using a D-Link wifi dongle and will try other brands when I get home tonight and also try to get you a dmesg output.
