Get Ready For An Explosion Of Publicity...

I was at the Wii launch in Vancouver at 7:00PM the day before and was 39th in line. There was 40 units there. *_*

so any guesses as to how long we have before all preorders are filled?
i remember chip mentioning he's not worried and that he won't preorder right away (can't find post)
i just don't feel like getting caught disabling the internet filters at school again so i can preorder
i hate detentions :(

This will definetly speed up the sales. No all-3000-gone-in-60-seconds, but speed up it will.

On another note, I never got the point of waiting for stuff outside shops. I, for example preordered my wii about four to five months before release from a webstore guaranteeing one from the first shipment. This is what I always do, preorder from the internet. Except for pandora. I'll wait for the first reviews, because although I have high hopes and lots of confidence to the dev team, there are too many things that can go wrong.

Well, that was pretty good. No one said anything bad really, just lots more people who are interested. I bet this reminded lots of people about it too.

Preordering later today is going to be terrifying...

Nigh on 600 now... still hanging in on the front page of Technology!

The truth. It seems Pandora doesn't have as much universal appeal (just try and talk to people, even "nerds", about it) as the Wii. Doesn't mean it won't sell out, of course. ;)

preorders will go online 2PM GMT
Not wishing to be picky or pedantic, but you mean 2PM BST, not GMT. We're currently on british summer time :D

If pandora shall become a commercial success, it should stop being dubbed as "opensource handheld with excellent console emulation capabilities". Not many will pay more than 100EUR for something like that.

From my perspective, pandora should become the ultimate portable multimedia and entertaining pda. Nobody needs archos, ipods and all the other music/codec-jails once pandora is running vlc.

Gaming on emulators will allways be a nerds way of entertainment. To find more buyers, winning against apple and archos will do the trick.

I hope I can get my preorder through before someone in the press notices the full potential of this magic box.

Btw., I have two bluetooth keyboards: celluon laser keyboard and the fabric keyboard. Would one of them work out of the box?

Regards,
Hauke

You know after hearing that she won a beauty contest in english class I went ahead and looked her up, only to be disappointed finding out that she's not very hot at all

What a Paradox! If the Pandora becomes a commercial success, then many people will ALREADY have paid more than 100EUR for the item as it has already been described!

Naa, that's MILF material. However, it's fake.
