IMHO the Saturn IS a superior console to the PSX, it's just that most people didn't get to see the best games on it because they were either so rare or Japanese-only.

At the time the PSX seemed to wipe the floor with it, but looking at them side-by-side now, the Saturn wins hands-down for me.

I've never been able to get a psx emulator working at all and my computer is not all that bad (2.4ghz, over 1gb ram, decent graphics card).

I had one running great on a 900mhz Duron with a GeForce 2 card. Give it another shot :D
