Have You Checked Your Delivery Address?

I've changed my address once since 2008 and double checked my delivery address with op a couple time since then when I mistakenly thought delivery was close before. Here's hoping its actually close this time...

Last time I check my address info was when we were all talking about import tax and customs and such. I'm with royal mail right now but I'm seriously considering switching to ups simply because I think my Pandoras have a better chance of slipping through customs w/o any problems than with standard mail and because if customs does charge me something then ups pays it and charges me upon delivery rather than my pandora getting held up at customs until I pay them. At least that's the way I understood it. On the other hand, I've waited so long and already paid so much that I might just take my chances, Jaquelyn did tell me that the royal mail is fully insured.

I was told approx. 3900-4000 when I ordered. Seems strange that there a still spots. Hope this isn't some kind of Ponzi.
Aayyyyyyyyyy.

Oh wait, you said Ponzi.
Yeah! Draw that long bow! :D

I get the feeling this is one of those "better in person" jokes, but just to make you feel better I'll post a pic to put it in context for anyone thinking to themselves "WTF?"

Okay, rather than emailing OPT again, can anyone tell me what my approximate position is in the queue? I got my confirmation email Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 at 4:12 PM (GMT +0).

D.

Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 4:20 PM <-- GMT+1 and I am order 250-350

Hmm. My email says:

Date: Tue, 30 Sep 2008 15:42:45 +0100 (BST)

Jacquelyn told me, on Feb 4, that my position was 400-500. Either I've moved up quite a bit, or I'm reading the date stamp wrong, or something else :) Anyone have a clue which?

Hmm no idea I also have no idea if the timestamp on my mail was my time or the time in england I guess there is a 1 hour difference from mainland to UK that would mean if we want to compare you are 22 min later and 50 units could be true.

Thanks for this Gruso. It reminded me I still had my Dad's place as my delivery address as I have moved a couple of times since ordering so I've updated my order to my new address.

I'd just like to say a big thanks to Jacquelyn for her prompt reply, professionalism and dedication.

I didn't ask what position I was but she volunteered the information anyway. Apparently I'm 200-300, so now I am far more excited than is good for me at my age ;)

Here is what i have so far.

This shuld make guessing just a little easier.
I ordered the list by supposed position but that makes some of the dates look out of whack its probably just position shift depending on when you asked your position.

Note: Please people. If you are sure your address is good, and you aren't adding to your order, don't inundate the gals with more address checks or position checks. Things have to suck for them as it is right now (and it's gonna get worse).

Not saying anyone is, just a friendly reminder. (As soon as one person thinks "well it can't hurt if I'm the only one to email them"... you just added yourself to the list of people making their lives worse, and it is in our benefit to try to keep them as unstressed as possible).

Cheers.

Always a lot of confusion about the front of the queue because of time zones. Based on all the (oh my god, so many) threads and polls about this, and my own order email:

Ordering started at Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 14:05:00 UTC/GMT give or take. Certainly I've seen posts from people who's orders have been confirmed in the top 10-20 ordering at that time. (by the way, this is GBAX. ED's store may have opened earlier)

Daylight saving was in effect so at the time, it was:

15:05 in UK
10:05 in NYC, USA
07:05 in LA, USA

or ...elsewhere...

@BackAssward +1. Especially anyone who did not order within the first day or two - after that, the order number will tell almost nothing about when the Pandora will ship.

In that vein, if the address is correct, but the zip code is listed as 0s, is it worthwhile to contact them and make sure it gets fixed? I can't recall at this point if the form had the ability to put that in or not. Craig's shop, FWIW.

According to when I sent my paypal info before I had to redo the payment. The time was: September 30, 2008 12:01:45 PM (-5 GMT). I got the reply 45 minutes later. I found out today that I am between order 550 - 650 which seems to say to me that in about a month from now, mine will be assembled and shipped out. I'm going to guess that June 16th will be the earliest that I will get mine and if not, either before the 23rd or the end of June. I'm siding with before the 23rd of June.

Just asked the wife. Not getting chucked out just yet. Should be okay for at least another 2 months[sup]tm[/sup]. My address will remain the same.
But if that Chinese Factory messes us about again then I'll have to start buy flowers or something just to make sure.

Isn't a valid zip code rather important?

Awesome, I hadn't bothered checking but my confirmation was at 30 Sep 2008 14:57 (UTC), so it looks like I'd be in the first 200 or so.

not every country in the world uses zip code.
:D

it annoys me that online forms never come with a n/a option. and you have to fill with 00000

Oh I know, we don't use ZIP codes in Canada either. I thought he was American since he was asking, if he wasn't, I don't see why he'd bring it up. Every online form I ever recall using, changed the mailing code section for my orders. I order from the US a lot and never have to put in 00000. I don't recall having to put in 0's when I ordered my Pandora.

Or do you mean, mailing code of any kind? In Canada we have a Postal Code, but it certainly isn't a 5 digit numeric. I'm pretty sure it accepted my text string Postal Code.
