Heart of The Alien Redux is an engine remake of the game Heart of The Alien.

Heart of the Alien is a sequel to Another World developed exclusively for the Sega CD console.
The game switches the player's role from Another World; this time the player takes control of Buddy, the main character's alien ally from the previous game.

Original game data is required for playing.

Thanks for this, it is working perfectly, including the mp3 songs.
I had a hard time trying to start the game (not isntalling, installing is easy), because it was asking me for some letters after the first scene.
After a quick search I found this FAQ
This solved the problem.
Thanks again for this port.

Ok.. so how do I get this installed? I`m fairly familiar in getting original data ( for other stuff ) to get things running...

I used this years ago, I don't remember how it is expecting the files, but I suppose ISO+MP3

from the official site
NOTE
You are required to obtain a copy of Heart of The Alien. In order to
play the game, put your Sega CD disc in your drive. As an alternative,
you may use ISO and MP3s prefixed "Heart Of The Alien (U)" and put
them in the same directory where you unpacked this distribution.

USAGE

Running HOTA with no custom settings will follow the game flow as
it plays the introduction, and then pops up the code entry screen.

Running ``alien -h'' will display a list of acceptable parameters.
Here are some interesting settings:

--iso use iso and mp3s, as noted above
--double double size window
--fullscreen start in fullscreen
--room n start from script n
--record record your key pressed
--replay replay recorded sequence
--fastest play game as fast as possible

--intro-test play all animations
--sprite-test show sprites in the current script

Anyway, this game is focking difficult !! I mean, the first one becomes super easy if you compare them... so, prepare to DIE, many, many, many times !!

I will need a walkthrough. I mean, I got easily to the part where you get the laser cord thing... but now... how do I jump back? How do I hold on to a cliff...
But Just for the introdemo, where it retells the story of the human, viewed from the alien... brilliant to see that on Pandora...

To quote part of the Pandora Readme (which you can view on the Pandora as a Documentation or by running the game - with or without data):
HOW TO INSTALL:
---------------
The ISO of Heart of the Alien must be placed into the following directory on your SD card:
pandora/appdata/hota_redux
Optional audio tracks must be encoded as OGG Vorbis or MP3 and they must also be placed here.
If the name of the ISO file is "some name.iso" then the names of the audio files must be "some name XX.mp3" / "some name XX.ogg".
E.g. if the ISO file is "hota.iso" then the first audio file is "hota 02.mp3" and the last audio file if "hota 42.mp3"

WHERE TO GET THE DATAFILES?:
----------------------------
You can make an ISO of the games date files using the original SegaCD CDROM.
Download CDDissect from http://xport.xbox-scene.com/cddissect.php
Insert the HOTA CD on your CD-ROM drive and type:
cddissect.exe hota -data
The file hota01.iso will be created, rename this as you like.
You may also wish to rip the audio tracks to OGG Vorbis or MP3.

I will need a walkthrough. I mean, I got easily to the part where you get the laser cord thing... but now... how do I jump back? How do I hold on to a cliff...
You need to use the whip to swing across - stand near the edge of the cliff and press Up+B.
