Whats this: Well known NeoPOP emulator build from source and wrapped into my LauncherEX with few new features like:

- support for zipped roms [btw. cpasjuste's neopop wasnt supporting zippped roms]

- disabled sound [sound engine is really buggy so i decided to disable it but i added a nice feature instead: mp3 playing [in shuffle mode] ]

- mp3 playing [you can create your own different playlist of mp3 for every game/rom]

for example if you have sonic_adventures.zip rom just drop to /music/sonic_adventures directory

your own mp3's and start playing with your own mp3 playlist

- proper pandora keys [cpasjuste's keys wasnt mapped]

- fullscreen play [using Notaz SDL libs]

- and of course LauncherEX included

btw. emulator plays in fullspeed with mp3 in the background on standard OP clocking

how to use & play:

Code:
get games zipped [*.zip] and put em in [sdcard]/pandora/appdata/neopop-ex-app/roms

get music [*.mp3 files] and put em in [sdcard]/pandora/appdata/neopop-ex-app/music/[romname]/

to play custom soundtrack for every game/rom.

For example if you download & run gears.of.fate.zip on NP EX, then in /music/ gears.of.fate directory will be created. If you put there custom soundtrack [*.mp3] next time neopop will be started in shuffle mode with sound [and wil play MP3 from gears.of.fate directory]..

btw. v2.

Why not try to fix the audio? is it an emulation problem you don't want to get into, or just the way the audio playback was ported originally?

(can't blame you if its bugs in the actual audio emulation; I totally hate working on audio emulation of custom chipsets, drives me nuts :p )

Since this year, i have less and less time for anything OP releated [and hobby releated], so i would not hold breath for fixing others work [like audio/sound in neopop]. On other hand, im not to good at fixing anything emulation-releated :) , because mostly its black magic for me.

But you can try to fix it of course, if you have time..

NeoPop isn't too interesting for me; I've got a pile of MVS Neo Geo carts in the basement, and still have a Neo Color handheld handy (always loved that little thumb joystick they had on there.. amazing!)

But as you know, I have my hands in the firmware, and writing a game, and most importantly.. had twins just 3 months back. I'm maxxed out :) (Can you imagine, I never really thought of myself as a dude with 3 kids, but here you go. So tonight my goal is to survive painting with my 4 year old, then getting some opengl landscaping going :p )

Some great little fighters on the platform, but I'm not opening that can of worms today ;)
