I dont have that much electronical knowledge, but i would assume the Pyra is about the half of the Weight of the PineBook..
1,3 kg is even for me a lot too much just in the Pockets..

I made a quick search, and 11,6 Customs (Zoll) is from the Pinebook is not that comparable to the Pyra, also its lacks the Controlls...

Its seems like to be some sort of an "Normal" ARM Notebook Size Device, whyle the Pyra is some sort of a Around Homebrew Gaming designed Micro Notebook..

Of course a little bit different, as a mini PC (gameboard,... ) the pyra/pandora/... vs. arm notebook.

battery:
pandora is roughly 5 to 10 hours (from 100 pct).
pinebook pro is about 5 hours (100 pct).

It seems that the battery of openpandora devices lasts longer than the pinebook.
The 14 inch takes more energy.

does quake3 (ioquake3) work better on pinebook pro or pyra ?

@_ have you tried Armbian on it?

Whe allready had a ioquake3 port on Pandora https://repo.openpandora.org/?page=all&search=quake
And whit the Controller Layout i suggested (DPAD for WASD, right Nub for Mouse, Shoulderbuttons for Fire), it dit work quite well, and my Pandora was only the 700 mhz Modell...
Allthough the Pinebook should also run it quite good, but if i remember correctly you need a external Mouse..

Theoretically the Pyra can play Quake3, I've had a port working on the Dev board long ago along with Return of Castle Wolfenstien which used a heavily modified Quake 3 engine. Likely the one directly off the debian repository should work, maybe with Ptitseb's gl4es.
