Request:Newer Kernel with KVM and XEN=Faster Qemu?

Hello,i readed that the new Released Kernel 3.9 supports

XEN and KVM on ARM Devices.

Can anyone build a Kernel for testing this on the Pandora?

When there is a KVM Acceleration is maybe Qemu

much faster and more Games can maybe work.

I am ready for Tests with that but i dont have the Ability to build a Kernel ;)

I think this is what you're looking for.

Here the guys want to build a new recent Pandora firmware.
 
I am installing it on a Free SD Card with your SL4P Pack.

Very very good Software ^_^

Then copy i the Kernel from them and see what happen when i start :lol:

Edit: Wow with latest Pandora Update have i Downloadspeed around 730 Kb/s

kvm or xen acceleration would help you virtualize ARM code faster, but it wouldn't help at all for virtualizing x86 which is what you actually want.

Ahhhrghhh thats sound very logical.....seems i had a logical Thinking Error :D

Thats right,with that Information can i forget Xen and KVM on the Pandora.

Maybe i get more Speed when i compile older Qemu Versions and try to compile other Accelerators like Kqemu ;)

Even ARM virtualization acceleration is only available on Cortex A15 (and yet unreleased A12 and 64bit CPUs).

One noticeable thing is that the Linux kernel is ahead of time in all this, supporting hardware not even manufactured. This is clearly a milestone.

Hate to break it to you, but Cortex-A15 devices have been out since last year. Qualcomm's Krait supports the virtualization instructions too, and that has been in devices since early 2012.
 
Problem is that adding software support using only theoretical specifications can lead to erratic behaviour on real hardware.

Squeeze's support for USB3.0 is rather frustratingly poor

From the latest rant that aTc wrote on the channel, since he is alone it's slowly getting done.

But it would be faster if more people contributed to the dev.
