Maybe the Filesystem on SD Card?

Have Fat32 here.

Redownloaded the Torcs PND,

updated the OS a few Days ago,

have enough Swap Memory,

deleted the old Appdata twice and runned the PND twice in a row,

tried SGX 4.03.02 and 4.10 on this Pandora,no working under TV Out here.

Work it for you with TV Out Ptitseb? (oops here was a writing Error in your Name, have it corrected, sorry) ;)

Here is the pndrun out from it:

http://qemu.openpandora.org/PNDs/pndrun_torcs.out

ptitSeb: do you have plib ported to the Pandora - i.e. its a dependency of TORCS, right?  I'd like to try to get CRRCSIM running on the Pandora, and plib is required ..

@ingoreis: after a fresh install, you have to launch it 2 times for it to work.

I'll try myself later and report here.

ptitSeb: ah, thanks .. is Codeblocks the current preferred toolset for doing ports, then?  I've been trying to get crrcsim built and running with the CDevTools .pnd .. I've got a binary built, but its not doing much when run - just a blank window with what looks like some sort of menu popup, not very GL-looking (and I don't remember seeing something like this in normal crrcsim either) .. maybe you want to try and port it?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/crrcsim/

I'm in the meantime off to try out the CodeBlocks approach ..

I have just tried TORCS on CC with TVOut and got no issue. It worked with default settings.

I'd say so, since porting often boils down to getting all dependencies right. I don't include any libs in cdevtools because I like to keep things small, and I won't switch to a newer compiler unless it is capable to build the kernel.

New build on the repo. Updated to 1.3.6 (there some changes from 1.3.5, with refined rules and some circuits & cars too).

Build 03
----------

  • Based on 1.3.6
  • A bit Faster build.
  • Latest glshim and libs

Also, on first post you'll find the diff between the Pandora version and vanilla 1.3.6 sources.

A new fresh build, that I think is faster.

Build 04
----------

  • Fresh build using gcc 6.1
  • Updated libs, even faster

Runs very fine on CC with nubs and with three opponents. I desperately need to find how to make the steering easier, in the car options settings. This might be explained on http://torcs.sourceforge.net/ though, will need to look, or I´ll never win, just sliding away ;) this might be just me though, I grew up with the "instant reaction" top down handheld-racers of the early-late nineties

EDIT Hope this is not off-topic but it might help other Pandora players for starters:
http://torcs.sourceforge.net/index.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=10:
  • select the player's car:
    1. First select the car's category you want:
      • Track-RWD-GrA: Track rear wheel drive cars with more than 500 hp
      • Track-RWD-GrB: Track rear wheel drive cars with less than 500 hp
      • Track-4WD-GrB: Track all wheel drive cars with less than 500 hp
      • Track-FWD-GrB: Track front wheel drive cars with less than 500 hp
      • Historic: 60-70's cars
      • Nascar: Nascar cars
      • Offroad-4WD-GrA: Off-road all wheel drive cars (rally cars)
      • Offroad-RWD-GrA: Off-road rear wheel drive cars
    2. Then select you car within the category.
[*]Select the transmission mode (automatic or manual)
[*]Program the number of pit stops you want for the race, so the initial fuel amount is adjusted accordingly.
    [*]Change the player's skill level:
    • Rookie: no dammage (0%)- high traction (+40%)
    • Amateur: small damages (50%) - high traction (+35%)
    • Semi-Pro: normal damages (80%) - medium traction (+30%)
    • Pro: high damages (100%) - low traction (+0%)
