Ok, let me try to translate it.
Fortunately, this was done in Hong Kong, where they speaks Cantonese. Had this been China, my Mandarin would not be good enough to do the translation.

There were parts were the music from the video were too loud that I couldn't really hear the conversation, so sorry if I couldn't translate that part.

Presenter : I do not know linux that well, I've only learned it for a short time.
Presenter : Sorry for the loudness of the video, I didn't create it, hence I have no control over it.
Presenter : This video was created as a concept to the actual equipment, it's created with a similar size to the DS.
Presenter : A machine that can surf the net and play video game, what kind of emotion one can assume it will invoke? (More a statement than a question.)
The presenter talked about how the Pandora came about. Mentioned that the team at Pandora played with several hand-helds and wondered how they can combine a computer (this term is very generic in Chinese, it does not necessary mean a desktop, it can mean a laptop) with a gaming device.
Comparing the DS with a prototype Pandora, Presenter says the width and length is about the same, but the thickness is much greater for the Pandora, however, if compared to a notebook, it is still a good size.
Presenter : Only an initial batch is available to developers
Presenter : I saw Doom running very smoothly.
Mumbling about some script and flash with the audience, really couldn't hear it and understand it because of the loud music.
Presenter : If people (the audience) are interested, let's get together and order it in a batch and maybe we can get a discount. Currently, we already have 3 people commited in purchasing it in the next batch. (They either didn't know there will be some left over from the first batch or maybe they want to wait for the 2nd batch.)
Some one asked about the price, and the Presenter says $330. Obviously they aren't aware of the RAM upgrade and the price increase to $340.

Really nothing new there, but it's interesting to know that people in Hong Kong (where I was born) have interest in it.

Just dropping in to say good work and thanks, guys. Been checking the blog first thing after getting online for the past few days, now (it's on my bookmarks toolbar in Firefox :p) - it's good seeing everything (including stuff I end up missing whilst browsing the forums) distilled like that. Keep it up.

Awesome blog, saves me having to trawl through posts for the good stuff while I'm at work.

Keep it up!

Assuming everything goes well with the MK3 board and production starts on the 15th, we should start shipping first batch Pandoras around the end of the month. Once the first batch has shipped, then we will start making plans for the second batch. Hopefully we will be making an announcement in February, but possibly later.

Someone should put a link to the unofficial blog on the page at openpandor.org
the unofficial blog is amazing and i know a lot of the people who don't read the forums probably still don't know about it.

http://openpandora.wordpress.com/

I honestly don't care that the pandora team can't keep the official blog updated as much, they do have a lot of work to do on the project...but they should link to the one above because those guys are doing a kickass job.

I don't have time to read through 400 forum posts a day so i find myself doing searches and scans of the forum from time to time and checking the official blog every day hoping for an update...but now that this new unofficial blog is up and running i am getting a lot of info i missed in these scans and i just wanted to give a shout out to those behind it and let them know that their efforts are appreciated.

Dev team, do us all a favor and add a link on openpandora.org to the blog at http://openpandora.wordpress.com/

Debut entry made. B)

(I'm supposed to be looking after the hardware category, but so far I've been beaten to any tidbits on that front thanks to the backwards hemisphere I live in. Maybe I should just be the night shift guy. :D)

It's the little things that make it. :D

Thanks for letting me know about the link, it works fine for me but I have my board settings set to the max number of posts per page that I can. So when I link directly to a post, the page number could be messed up for everyone else.

I might edit the links so that they link to the thread only, and note the post number next to it.

Yada yada, link fixed.

^ Agreed. Waiting to hear back from Skeezix in that thread before I jump the gun though.

Note to other blog team dudes: I'm putting the post together in my little mind already, so if Skeezix gives it the thumbs up while I'm offline, leave it with me. No hurry. :)

That's right, I just called dibs on a blog entry. Can you even do that?! I'm crazy, I'm off the hook.

Hehe. Still no word from Skeezix yet... I'm reluctant to draw "mainstream" attention to the poll unless he wants it. The message could easily be skewed, we don't want people to panic about "half done software" rumours.

btw... 4,126 views yesterday. :D The link on the official site brought in over 700 alone. Hopefully that means there are a heap of newly informed people out there.
