I'd like to use a USB hd instead of SD cards, would it work ? Would it be detected ? Thx

*note it will drain your battery wayyy quicker than an SD, I was looking at 2-3 hours on full battery while powering the drive instead of 9-10 with SD card, When I use mine I just copy the needed files (usually videos) off it to SD and then unplug.

You could use a powered USB-drive, and it shouldn't drain too much extra from Pandora at all (guessing.)

I bought one and it works fine (250go), I'll see for the battery.

I thought maybe it would be "dangerous" for the pandora to use a powered usb harddrive. You know, short circuit or something...

Some drives (such as, in my personal experience, LaCie ones) will try to draw too much power, won't work, and will cause the Pandora's screen to fluctuate in the same way as a CRT with a magnet being held against it would. Just making a note of it. :p

Just connected my Pandora with a WD Elements 2 TB USB 2.0 external Hard Drive ( with external AC power adapter) and all works fine. :)

It's an external box with a 3.5" Hard Drive certified USB Hi-Speed 2.0 inside.

Now i'm playing some MP3....
