Vmware Running On N800 (arm)

This is pretty awesome, think we can do this with pandora?
In theory, yes. The big sticking point would be more along the lines of OBTAINING something like WinCE with the proper BSP for the Pandora with legit licenses for the same.

There will probably be one, which will be very illegal to have, but...

I do believe that I said "legit". Keep in mind that MS is starting to sue the pants off of anyone caught violating their IP. If you think you're going to slip under the radar on that little gem, think again.

It looks like they are using vmware as a sort of base OS, and running w/e else they want on top of that. Sort of like of the enterprise vmware solution works.

What I find really funny is how she mentions you can go play solitare while android loads, but when she tries, Win CE was unresponsive... so she quickly moves back to android without skipping a beat and lets us watch it load instead. Slick.

1. yes, it's a basic hypervisor. Don't know how that effects the running wince, maybe that will be a generic version made for vmware, so it doesn't need to be adopted for pandora. I wouldn't want winCE anyway ^^

2. Still a pretty impressive demonstration and I guess they will be abled to fix that kind of bugs before the release ;)

I'm extremely interested in WinCE on Pandora for one reason only: XIM. If you don't know what XIM (Xbox Input Machine) is, Google "XIM360".

It requires you to be connected to a Windows PC while playing Xbox. But there may be a WinCE port in the future.

Since a port is needed anyway, wouldn`t winelib be a better choice?
