Weekly Pyra Preorder Stats

Nice artwork, but can we not stick to the plan here, people? Prototypes go out, videos go up, hype builds, glitches get found and fixed, mass production happens, pyra are assembled and posted, post arrives and we have our Pyras. Slowly slowly catchee monkey.

Week 29 is upon us! Repent at your earliest convenience!

No cancellations this week again, which is starting to make me nervous, but only one of the orders this week was for a non-GSM unit, so it seems people are jumping for the most expensive unit straight off, and don't feel the need to cancel and upgrade later on.

It was #947 that came an hour after the deadline, #946 was two hours before.

Edit: Actually, it says you posted at 11:30 PM, so you got your times mixed up.

Oops, you're right. Seems I've been thinking it started at 11pm CEST on 1st April, while in fact it opened at 11pm BST, or 12am CEST. Now we're in wintertime that becomes some weeks later that becomes 11pm CET, but I've been reading 10pm when looking at the stats.

I'll amend the last entry in this weeks data, but I don't feel like going back to old weeks and checking, so I'll leave any potential error in previous weeks. I don't know when I switched.

US cellular units: 2 2GB units, 1 4GB one
Euro cellular units: 4 4GB units

There were no cancellations I could see.

I think the pyra will do much better then expected , the orders will flood once a working prototype will be on the scene. The showing of a prototype will kill the anxiety of the non core part of the community and bring new buyers.

It's time for week 31, and we're paying back for last weeks success it seems.

Week 01 (01/05-07/05): 563 pre-orders (000-563)
No cancellations this week. We had no orders last weekend, but come Monday night things started moving again.

The preorders were split as follows:
Non-cellular units: 2 4GB units
US cellular units: no units
Euro cellular units: 5 4GB units

Please note, I had to reverse the order of the list because the forum software introduced a scroll bar last week, and it would hide the latest data by default, so I resorted it so the latest data is visible without scrolling.

At first I was "wow wut? 563 orders in the last week?" and then I noticed the dates were flipped. 7 is still a respectable number.

You got me too. My eyes were drawn to 000 and I thought that we broke 1000 for a second. Maybe I should read the post before looking at numbers.

Week 01 (01/05-07/05): 563 pre-orders (000-563)
Nothing at the weekend again, but by Tuesday morning we had the first four preorders of the week, then we got the rest through Tuesday night. I felt convinced we'd had some cancellations given the lack of positive movement the rest of the week, but the records don't support that suspicion. Last night though we got one more preorder (well, actually a cancellation of a 4GB standard unit and a preorder of a 4GB Euro cellular unit at the same time)

The preorders were split as follows:
Non-cellular units: 0 4GB units (-1 on Friday, then +1 on Saturday)
US cellular units: 2 4GB units
Euro cellular units: 6 4GB units

The US users got in first with their two preorders, then the rest were all EU4GB models (apart from that one standard 4GB unit preorder made on Saturday).

Edit: There may be an issue with the dedup list; it missed an occasion on Friday when a standard 4GB unit was cancelled and a 4GB EU unit ordered in the same 15 minute window. The overall total didn't change, but the networked number moved, as did the individual order breakdowns of course.

There was one cancellation this week, on Thursday afternoon, of a standard 4G unit. This got covered by a EU 4G order in the small hours of Friday morning, in terms of the total, and had already been matched by a new standard 4G unit on Tuesday morning, in terms of those numbers.

The preorders were split as follows:
Non-cellular units: 0 4G units (+1-1)
US cellular units: 2 4G units
Euro cellular units: 6 4GB units

There's even an order this christmas morning, to begin next week's stats. Merry christmas everyone!

There was one cancellation this week, on Thursday afternoon, of a EU 4G unit. This got covered by another EU 4G order in the small hours of Friday morning.

The preorders were split as follows:
Non-cellular units: 0 units
US cellular units: 0 units
Euro cellular units: 8 4GB units (+9-1)

There's even an order this christmas morning, to begin next week's stats. Merry christmas everyone!
Hello, I think i have ordered one for Standard edition for US which is Non-cellular unit on 20/12. maybe i ordered a wrong one?
Thank you so much.

Sorry, I made that last post in a bit of a rush, so missed that in the stats by only looking at the overall totals. Not sure why I thought the cancellation was of a 4G Euro unit though, that was plain wrong, and made it look by just looking at the starting and finishing numbers like there had been no orders of the non-cellular 4G type.

Oh. It was my fault. Sorry. I have ordered one and there was one person cancelled one. So it looks like there is 0 unit there. I concerned too much for Pyra. Because I would love to have it on hand right now. Haha. Thank you so much.
