Wine 1.6RC1 Slackware 14 + newer Video + Download

Run configure with --without-oss. So long as you have alsa it should be fine, you don't need to support every audio system under the sun.

I renamed them

Edit: now i recompile it with the other Options.

Edit Edit:

Update: After 3 Hours its not end compiling with 1.2 GHZ ;)

You can use SOLEIL to compile faster.

It's the special feature which allows to compile with the CPU of an other computer (or so).

I know everyone else wants to use this to run Windows software under Wine on an X86 QEMU - I don't want to slow that down.

However, wouldn't this ALSO enable someone to run X86 compiled Linux software?

Neverwinter Nights has a native Linux X86 compiled version.  I would love to run that on a Pandora - even if it's 'unplayable' slow.

So News,

it compiled -without-oss but same Error and funny beause i oversaw

that was a alsa Problem:

ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:957:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) The dmix plugin supports only playback stream

Soleil?Work that with  Windows PC too? I dont have Linux now on my PC.

Is there a simple Slackware installation DVD? I have max 16GB Partition free on my SSD.

Sounds good with Soleil, can spare many Time.

Is there a good howto for that?

Yes Qemu will be possible to run 2D X86 Linux Apps but i dont tried more, because my

Goal is to run Wine X86 on Pandora.

The tgz file is in the First Post, you are gladly invited to Try :)

Yeah, that's what I'm waiting on. Assuming it can be compiled against lunixboch's libgl it would open a LOT of doors.

This ALSA error is not harmfull. I have it also. But, you should play with Float support on your alsa compilation to enable sound on Wine.

I have on this SD Card 2 Partitions, one with MesaGL and one with LBochsGL as second Slackware System.
Unfortunaly is it LBochs exactlys Wish that noone release a Image with that.
I asked him too,but he dont want because this is very very alpha status.

But i Try that this Evening too (that could be a long night today :D )

I dont have a Cable Network Adapter Stick for Pandora.
But i read it,maybe there is another Way.

The other way is to install a Slack 14.0, 64 or 32, on your PC, and compile the gcc for arm.

Then you do a network with an usb cable. No need SOLEIL this way.

I divided by up to 6 the kernel compilation time with this kind of setup.

Hmm, I may have gotten myself over-excited. I could have sworn qemu user mode had 3D passthrough support, but I can't find any information on that now so I may be crazy.

Is there anything new on this front?

Would it be difficult to give a step by step to get to where the project is at from a stock Pandora?

This is the most exciting thing to come through the Pandora boards in quite a while.  Keep up the great work!

I tried actualy much differrent Things, too much what not or not realy worked.
I needed a little Pause from this and have tried 3D Games native in Pandora
Android.
2 - 3 realy intersting Games found i ;)

Next Week try i more again with Qemu and Wine..
A Entire SD Card with installed,x86 Knoppix dont work as Gnemul Directory.
My OpelGL Testings with Qemu fails all but i have more Ideas.
Next step is to Compile Qemu Git again with preinstalled GL from Linuchsbochs for testing.
Maybe i can use the Files from Damn Small Linux for testing.

This Project is not death,i only needed a little Pause to sort my Brain and for
Finding more Ideas :D

Sort your brain.
