Hello,

Not really a moan, just wondered if there are any timescales on improving bluetooth audio so I can hook it up to my surround sound (wirelessly). I know it was in the pipeline.

Thanks

I'm sure our highly paid crack team of specialists will be right on it.

but seriously.. from what I'm told bluetooth MAY be improved with the .next OS build.. we'll see for sure.

I also hope so - would be nice to effortlessly hook up my bluetooth headphones...

Me, too!

I tried several times to hook up my pandora to my car stereo without success :(

I'd like to see the bluetooth system not require a restart every time the Pandora is suspended to RAM.

I'd also like to see GPSD added to the Pandora repo.

I agree it takes a little futzing, but I hooked my P up to the UConnect system in my Jeep, no problem. That system is in many, many Chrysler and GM products. I posted a script the other day to make switching devices a little easier. It would be nice to see that functionality incorporated into the BT app. IANAP and it is beyond my ability to do it. By the time I learned we would be talking about the P5.

Violent agreement here.

I was just wondering, does the bluetooth on the pandora have any functionality at all? My boy wanted to transfer some files from me but it wouldnt work.

Keyboard and mouse work OK, though you'll need to load the right keymap for the keyboard.

WiFi will interfere with BT, so don't expect to stream music and be happy with BT behavior.  I've given

up on the internal WiFi, take the battery hit, and just use a USB WiFi dongle.  WiFi performance is

*way* better, and the BT interference issues have also gone away.

@LTStone: I managed to send files from the Pandora to my Nokia through BT. But alas, I can not browse the content nor get files on the pandora.

Ok , so its not totally broken , thats nice to know.. thanks.

I'll keep messing around and see what happens.

Be aware that the bluetooth system on Pandora does not survive suspend to ram. After suspending to ram, bluetooth must be stopped and restarted before it will work again.

I use bluetooth everyday, for different purpose, but you will need some apps to do so.

Look in the repo here for example.

BTDUN - To use your phone as a bluetooth modem

btrecv - Is needed to receive files from others bluetooth devices (without this app the Pandora can only send files)

ConBTGPS - Connects to GPS receivers

Awesome , thanks guys, I have got it too work. I sent a few roms and pics to a laptop and a phone. :)
