See www.gp32news.com - they posted an updated report on the latest SNS9xGP beta from Intellecto.

Here's a snippet, check the site for the full story of course:

"Speed emulation is better than the last release.
Sound is more faster. Intellecto used Groepaz's sound mixing sources to increase it. But it stills some noisy " creek !".

Most of the games tested runs at 60-70% of the real speed without sound emulation. therefore less with sound running.
All games were tested with the default frameskip wich is 3."

RTFA all. He said the public release would be faster, and that he was aiming for 100% (which IMO is achievable in asm)

in my view, snes emulatin would be the pinnacle. I loved my Snes.

Aerobiz.....completed it on snes, then again on pc and then later on my XBOX. Now that has to be a good game!

Hopefully the buttons of the GP32 are enough...
Terranigma, my favourite game, uses all the SNES-Buttons... that's two more than the GP32 has...

that's not even new. i posted an interview of him a month ago, with more info than that, on gp32emu

Amazing game, was the first one i used to test the last version :D

The music in it is fantastic.

Pilot wings worked on the last one if I remember correctly but it was juts so so slow that it was not worth trying.

Atrkidd is right. I doubt that news on the *new* Snes9xGP about it being 60-70% speed is true. I also talked to Inteleco on IRC and he said he had achieved 100% speed for most games on FS2 without sound...

So what your saying is the new article is actually based on the old beta?

if so then that is good news cause from the post a couple of days ago it was a lot more promising than this as i already thought the last version was around the 60-70% stated.

id be interested to know if when were told 100% thats actually at frameskip 3? cos then thats more like 33% aint it?

No, it's wouldn't be 33%, it would be lot more. From the little I have read, I would guess it would be whatever speed required 30% of itself to reach full speed, in other words it would be approximately 75% without frameskip.

for more info from someone who knows what he's talking about, see http://phoinix.sourceforge.net/frameskip.html
