Sorry to hear that. Hope you have a plan B.

Collective immunity will not work, so we will have to rely on a vaccine or a cure.

Also every neo-liberal countries who invited the virus and also are massively cheating the numbers are now trying to put the blame on China.

The situation is still catastrophic in France. There's a f*cking lot of people in the streets here in Paris, with only a few wearing a mask.

@Linux-SWAT

Apologies for not responding to you earlier, as I have been a little down due to me losing my full-time job recently. Was Covid-19 related.
Shit mate, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you have options.

Dunno what I'd do. At the moment I'd probably ask local farmers if they could use a hand on short notice.

...to me losing my full-time...
Have you looked under your bed?
Kidding aside, try finding one soonish (take a week or two to process your situation), because 20% will be out of a job soon.
Here in Netherlands there is work for: harvesting things, was done by Polish people that came for the summer, but those are now at home. Food transportation. Talk to a restaurant, maybe they want somebody that delivers food? I.T, while up and running, has again concentrated on keeping things up and running and minimizing projects; but there is work out there.

How to accelerate the genocide:

1- All cities/towns are blocked by the government associates from forcing citizens to wear a mask.

2- Jogging is authorized during the day.

--ADDED:
A friend from my gf working in an elderly center is really, really not happy about our self-elected "leaders" and the ongoing genocide.

True, worldwide people will be confronted with higher unemployment rates.
"Usually" if one country has a recession another country profits, but at the moment (almost) every country stopped so looks like no country benefits this time.

Countries that make food, are not going rampage and do survive without deep of a scar might be able to profit from the world´s recession.

A lot of countries depend on each other. So even though some counties keep selling products they probably sell less then last year.

Average prices will increase so you can buy a bit less, that's just a bit much for a large group op people who already lost jobs and need to pay (now a bit higher) bills.
If people can't pay bills governments/banks will provide more money causing money to become less valuable, prices will increase causing people to not be able to pay etc. etc.

@Linux-SWAT I suspect that says more about the general opinion of the goverment by the French populace than anything else. By the numbers, Spain is in a worse state, but I've not heard so much grumbling coming from there. Mind you I can only find general statements of discontent on the France outbreak page on wikipedia, so it may be that we just don't have any Spanish posting in this thread.

In the UK the governments working about as badly as it always has for us. I heard there was a bit of hoo-hah in parliamentary circles according to bbc radio at teatime, but the only thing I can find on their website is this. The people I'm in contact with all seem to be struggling through it all.

About the official death count, the situation is Spain is not really worse than in France. I suspect that you are poorly informed because you don't search for the real informations, like the populace do:

There's still no protective gear in hospitals so all the healthcare workers are pissed off, also they don't get any rest, and sometimes not enough food.
More students are also recruited in the Paris area, I let you imagine what it really means.
There's many articles in the regional press. Of course, mainstream medias are under tight control.

Spain still suffers from the sequels of the dictatorship of Franco. It's not visible on the surface, but it shows if you dig a bit into the collective psyche of the Spanish people. The media is a bit more controlled and suppressed. People a a little more cautious in saying things. And few Europeans are as French, immediately up in arms and demonstrating. However, French pay the most taxes.
Their police has also a firmer hand (for example: when Catalunya wanted to have a referendum to see if they wanted to be independant.. suppressed with police from over all of Spain. This translates in a more docile population.

Great ! Is this remote work ?
BTW, what is Melvin Harrington ? A product ?
Let me guess, it's the name of a private investigation agency !

About France and everywhere, people are pissed off the same. Only wealthy people act like they don't see all the lies.
But people won't go out to protest not because of the police and army, which are also pissed off, but because of the virus.
And the virus is here to stay for a long, long time (end of December in France, according to emergency centers chiefs, IF the group immunity works).

US is coming out of lockdown. 30,000 new cases today.

Geez this is stupid. It's either all or nothing with a lockdown, now we get the economic devastation and no health benefit.
It's the same scenario everywhere in ultra-liberal countries.
They want to quickly infect as much people as possible to eliminate the weak, especially useless old people.
