I had other reasons for re-flashing, so calm down lol.
Works great! Much faster then software rendering. Keep up the good work :)
Do you think there is room for improvement in terms of performance, or have we hit the limit?
There is also the Master Gear Converter, which allowed original Master System games to be played on the Game Gear.
I guess these accessories had some chips in them to convert PAL Master System games and the TV signal for the PAL TV Tuner to NTSC signals.
The processor speed: 3.58 MHz[5] (same...
Don't compare yourself to a toy ... you're above an object that's sole purpose is recreational entertainment and bending things a bit, perhaps productivity work.
Nice story though! :P
Yes, sound is interpolated in the _2 build :D Didn't have to do anything. Great! Haven't tried the other one though.
Thanks skeezix :)
EDIT: Doh, hi-res mode doesn't seem to work right for the following games: RPM Racing and Super Formation Soccer '94 (selecting teams).
RPM Racing is another hi-res SNES game ;) Oh and when selecting teams and other menus in Super Formation Soccer '94.
Gaussian sound interpolation ... must .. have it! :P
Ahh code examples, or examples from games where you hear the sound being off? :P I'll answer both as much as I can!
Code example wise, the original snes9x source code is worth a look. I was just browsing in soundux.cpp and in the "void MixStereo (int sample_count)" function you'll come across...
Check out Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. The characters have the textures mapped wrong ;) and most of the environment seems to tile the textures too often, like they're scaled down in the mapping (not texture size)
I have a request!
Need sound interpolation or some sound filter, to properly produce the correct sound the SNES generated. It seems to be missing ;)
For a good test of what I mean, load up Donkey Kong Country 2, activate the sound test (press down 5 times on the 1-2 player selection screen...
There's some good information and pictures here of filters, including CRT emulation :) Make sure to go through the 4 pages! http://nfgworld.com/mb/thread/661
I apologize for not delivering any goods yet that I may have promised, been busy with Real-Life events. Got a lot on my plate, but hopefully we'll get to those Pandora desserts yet :)
