Hey good people of Openpandora land, I'm thinking of getting a new SD card. All of my cards thus far are microsd cards with adapters. I'm thinking of getting a full size card that I would use generally for the Pandora, something 32 to 64gb. Any suggestions, specific brands, price, etc? I have not been looking much into these things since the last ebay screwii thing.

I hope you don't mind, frz, but I'm going to split this question off into its own thread, since I think you'll likely get better feedback that way. :p

EDIT: Ok, done. Now, with that over with, I would personally suggest going with SanDisk cards, since SanDisk make their own parts and, at least in my experience, seem to produce always-reliable flash media. I don't even use anything particularly fancy, myself - just their standard Class 4 32GB cards.

I was just wondering where my post went. its cool.

The last card that I bought, a long time ago before the ebay thing, is a kingston 16gb microsd. It never gave me any problems. So I'm looking to get the same deal for a bigger card, biggest possible for the best price.

These were recommended on here and have been very good http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=111247 bar I've had 2 incidents of the OS partition getting wiped out somehow myself but other than that, they are fast and seemingly robust.

The wipeouts are due to god knows what going awry in someway via PNDStore betas interacting with something in 'my own' Pandora setup, as it didn't effect anyone else here with the same cards.

sweet, $25. making an order from their ebay store.

On second thought, is seems like the seller may not be shipping to my location.

the word ebay has been mentioned twice in this thread, and both in the wrong way....stay away from it. if you maybe mentioned your location, we might be able to help you pick out a SD card

The ebay reference was for the link to 7dayshop post by mariopundio. Their website indicated that they also have an ebay store I was going to use instead of creating yet another website user accound but, at checkout I was giving the warning they do not ship internationally. I am in Brooklyn, NY.

It does indeed, although not the full spec officially. Some folks are running these http://www.lexar.com...-133x-sdxc-card which can be had pretty cheaply sometimes. I don't know the tech details but the even larger cards, probably wont work without some magic from OPTs end first, so for now 128gb is likely the limit.
This google search shows this card listed at three different online store for $165 ish, half the price on lexar's website. http://www.google.co...ved=0CH8Q8gIwAQ

Indeed and far more in keeping with a 2gb SONY card for the Vita! :)
Yes, that's a bummer. The system alone is $350 plus tax plus and a required memory card purchase. Roughly a total of $450 for the systtem alone before any games.

Yet they know we will roll over and take it, or at least they're marketing plans have accounted for all the principled people and wrote them off as target demographic long ago, knowing the rest will still lap up whatever locked down, restrictive, pay through the nose, DLC, single user licensed, auto firmware updating, hack patching, novelty sugar coated franchise rehashes, they intend to toss us as treats! They're probably right too :)

I've have two of these little guys for my Pandora and love them.

They also have a 32GB version for the cheapo who doesn't need too much space.

Are you saying that the Pandora supports SDXC? Is this officially stated anywhere?
If they work on his pandora than its a yes. If not im screwed cause I just ordered the 64gb. At $57.87 plus tax I think is a fair deal.
