Scrabble (FOUND - GameBoy Color version is perfect)
Yahtzee (saw GuyFawkes version, which is very nice, but has no AI - I think)
Battleship
Any crossword puzzle (loved the old DOS crossworld but it only works at 640x480 res)
Chinese Checkers
backgammon
checkers
chess
parchisi type game
boggle
bridge
freecell (found)

Thanks very much!
Mike

i'm working on a checkers game, at least i'm trying hehe. but it's givin me headaches but i'll keep on trying.

update:
been fiddling with the cpu player again, and i'll be damned i was seeking stuff way to far. a very simple (math) evaluation function for the min max function gave me a very strong cpu player. hack i've lost to it in my last game. i even think he's to hard that or either i'm total crap at the game hehe

I'd love to see a decent version of Blackjack on the GP2x.

I have tried a couple of emulated console versions but they are not very good.

i also wrote Higher or Lower which is a simple card game, will probably keep you entertained for 5 mins :) check it out at http://www.emuboards.com/guyfawkes/higherorlower.htm

also, ill be updating Yahtzee in the near future, nothing major (such as AI) but going to add some sound and other stuff.

edit - theres also Memory (http://www.emuboards.com/guyfawkes/memory.htm) which I wrote, its kinda similar to the card game where you have to match the two cards when flipped over.

I have wasted tons of time with this game. Definitely worth the download. :)

(I don't know why I ever asked you about an exit code!! :D )

Battleship - Commodore 64, or Super Battleship on SNES.
chess - Chessmaster on Gameboy, or Battle Chess on Atari ST

Most, if not all, of the other games you want will have versions on C64 or ZX Specturm.

Also, I don't know how far along the GBA emulator is, but the Ultimate Card/Board Games collections on it are superb.

This might help:

Battleship - (GameBoy Color)
Boggle Plus - (GameBoy mono)
Chess - Checkmate (GameBoy Color) or SEGA Chess (SMS)
Blackjack - Neo Twenty One (NeoGeo Pocket)
Card games - Solitaire Funpack (SMS)
Bubble Train / Zoma game - Ballistic (GameBoy Color)

If you are like me and get a bad first round I cheat and restart the game :) No idea why I missed this out in the first release :)
