hi,
tried playing doom, and it gets as far as a pic of a devil bloke with the writing "no wads found,no doom for you"
i have the doom.fxe and the doom.wad both in the GPMM directory.
should the .wad file maybe go somewhere else ??
cheers,
col

exactly
would toil away for aaaages with stuff trying all poss. permutations
cos most .readme files are useless (on pc anyway)
maybe its the dawning of a new era for useful readmes 8 )

Readme files can indeed be duplicate information. But homebrew console games, especially ones posted before their "master version", are notorious for being non-intuitive. This isn't really a fault of the programmers - they are programmers, not technical writers, and not designers. You can't expect all facets of a program to be perfect BEFORE the master version.

yep, this is true. as you say,an open source console is bound to have hidden traps for noobs (like me),but must admit it does seem "relatively" simple to use so far.
certainly within a few hours of starting it up,was happily discovering a whole world of EMU handheld gaming previously only known on a big grey box.
job's a good un 8 ))
