Gemei A320

Ah, too bad about the screen then.

I guess the Wiz has a big advantage there, albeit for a much higher price and there's that diagonal line problem to work out.

It is much worse than the DS lite and the viewing angle is a bit odd.
Compared to my DS lite:

DS Lite: top and bottom bad, left and right good. Nasty ghosting.
Dingoo: top, bottom and right good; left bad. No ghosting at all.

I find the A320's screen to be very good!

It's very similar to the JXD-301's screen, which I remember everyone was very impressed with only a year ago.

The screen on mine is pretty bad, and it feels awkward to hold it at the right viewing angle while playing. I've heard wildly differing opinions on the screen, so it seems likely there are quality control issues or something.

PoisonedV: the wiz has the touchscreen in addition to the OLED. And the developers and easy portability from gp2x. Granted, it's not much, but then again the pandora seems to be running out of its lead in the field as well..

As posted by others, my A320's screen is really crisp and clear unless you view it from the right. Strange, but with a device this small you'd most likely be holding it in front of your face most of the time anyways.

To others: how have you been comparing it to the DS Lite screen? I would think you'd need to run something like a hi-res video to compare them properly, and I wasn't aware the DS could do that.

I think you really need to dig out a 301 to compare it to. They are nothing alike.

Much as I like the A320's screen the JXD 301's is in a class by itself. Pity my battery is too used for playing videos on the 301 anymore. Has anyone been successful at changing the 301's battery? I'd hate to scrap it.

DCEmu has added a Dingoo A320 sub-forum:

Meanwhile, seagal has posted the source to the A320 version of his Centipede emulator - and I've managed to get it to build under Linux! :D

I had to cheat slightly by using WINE to run the little converter program that takes the binary and converts it into a .app (I'll have to work out what that does at some stage) but apart from that it was pretty easy, just using mipsel-linux versions of GCC and its associated tools and the Dingoo SDK.

Now I'm casting about for something easy to port to the A320...
