Glass Screen Is Too Thick!

Guys with the FLU have the frame stick out too because of the light guide that is added. So it is not that uncommon. I use special glass in my GP32 that is as thick as the plastic. My frame is perfectly normal but the glass could break easier, but I am careful with it.

I got my screen last week. It was too wide aswell, so I had to
cut about 1 mm of the plastic indentions to make it fit.

Sticks out a little bit. Maybe I will try to find thinner glas,
but if this breaks and scratches your light guide, the unit
would be ruined.

By the way: I tried cleaning the light guide with alcohol
and a Q-tip, leaving marks all over it around the edges
where the alcohol vaporized.

At first I was very pi**ed because the screen looked
awful. So after some experimenting I found, that window
cleaner can perfectly used to clean the light guide
again from waterdrips, alcohol etc.

The only thing I don*t get away anymore is a light
small point of washing petrol I accidently used. I look
dull know.

So, does anyone know how to remove the dull-effect
of petrol from a plastic surface like the light guide?

Thanks

Personally, I wouldn`t muck around with the light guide/diffuser anymore than you already have, Judging by what you`ve already done to it. The next time you fiddle with it maybe the last, As you could end up doing irreversible damage to it.

The glass screens should fit inside the grey screen holder, it may be tight however.

mines a FLU - my glass screen makes the grey bit pops out about 1.2 mm - it looks good - its tough (and i commute with it) ...

and stops my fingers slipping onto the screen...

In my experience the more you mess the worse it gets...
